VCC is Virtual Channel Connection
A VCC is a concatenation of VCIs (Virtual Channel Identifier) that extends between the points where the ATM service users access the ATM layer. The points at which the ATM cell payload is passed to, or received from, the users of the ATM Layer (ie, a higher layer or ATM-entity) for processing signify the endpoints of a VCC. VCCs are unidirectional.

it is not VCC it is either called CVC or CVV, card verificcation code or card verification value depending on wether it is a master or Visa.
It is a 3 character code on the rear of the card near / below the magenetic stripe after the card number and is used for verification over the interent or over the phone.

it is cVVor card verification value. there are two cvv's cvv1 and cvv2. the cvv2 is the known one usually printed as the last 3 digits on the signature panel on the reverse of a credit card. the cvv1 is encoded in the magstripe. the cvv2 is usually used for purchases in a "card not present scenario" that is where the physical card is not present like an internet transaction osr a MOTO or mail order telephone orsder transaction

It is a verification number. In case your number and expiration gets stolen (like out of the garbage) they would need the card with that number to charge on it. Is you Debit card also a CC? Mine is and it has the number, some older cards do not.
American Express calls it the CID (Card Identification Number). For MasterCard, it is the CVC2 (Card Validation Code). Visa calls this number the CVV2 (Card Verification Value).

I use MoneyGram frequently and I simply walk to my local agent - fill out the form and hand over the money. Simple. I am amazed by these people who seem to think that life away from the computer has ceased to exist
