NO!

Do NOT do this!!!

He does NOT need this.

Vendors are taught BY THE CREDIT CARD COMPANIES what they need.

What they CAN ask you for is the security code on the back (normally 3 or 4 digits).

I would NOT trust this seller.

I WOULD contact the credit card companies to alert them.

Also, you MUST sign the back of your credit card WITH YOUR SIGNATURE. Just signing it with a "See ID" is NOT legal. It IS okay if you put your signature on it PLUS the "See ID". Vendors do NOT need to accept your credit card if it is UNSIGNED.

Are you nuts? Who sends a copy of the credit card by fax? You are inviting them to steal by giving them the keys to your vault! Seriously, no company would ask for your credit card copy unless they weren't out there to scam you. Whatever happens, never give out a copy (back or front),of your credit card to anyone! And whatever item you want, check to see if its available on ebay.

The only need the back of the card to verify the 3 digit security code. However, most places online just simply ask that yoyu provide them with those numbers verbally. If it is not a reputable company example; Best Buy, Sears, ect ect. Otherwise I wouldnt give them jack.

LET HIM CANCEL! Though it is not illegal to ask for a copy, he is probably looking to use it illegally. I would only give my cc number to companies who offer a payment method using Paypal or who are listed with BBBonline. There is no reason that he should need a copy of your credit card. He needs to do business with Paypal, but he won't if he is being shady.

Let him cancel your order. I have never had anyone ask for a copy of my credit card. Do not give it to them. Do your shopping somewhere else.

Maybe, but I wouldn't do it. All he needs is the number on the back of your card and he can order stuff off the internet to his heart's delight.

NO! The back of your card contains your security code. He can use this to make purchases. Run far, run fast.
