Hi there,
I have just got mortgage and hopefully will be moving to my first house in couple of months.
While I was applying for mortgage, I used a mortgage broker who didn't know the rules very well. His firts application was declined because I am not Britisih ( I have work permit in UK).Anyway he found another company how agreed to give the mortgage for high interest of course (5.70% for two years fixed and 6.74% for the term)
Now my credit report is Fair (Score is 387 points at Equifax). But I am planning to get some stuff from DFS or Furniture Village with 3 year interest free credit. Do you think this credit scorte will cause any problem with these companies? I don't want to be embarrassed in front of the salesman if they refuse my application :)
Thanks in advance.

These are revolving accounts such as department stores, etc. I am not carrying balances on any of these accounts and they have been opened for several years.

Hi I've asked about this topic before. I would like to know if being $400 in debt is alot. I've had this debt for a couple of years. Long story :) How severly will this affect my credit score. Some advice? Also I would like to know if a minor is responsible for his/her own debt. Will it affect their credit score as an adult.? Thanks alot :)

I filed a chargeback with my credit card company Capital One. I sent the items back, provided proof of delivery. Capital One issued a temp credit, then months later retracted credit and told me they were no longer handling my chargeback and that the company VISA itself was handling it? They could not provide any more information said to wait 45 days, that VISA would contact me, and that the case with Capital One is closed? Ive filed chargebacks and never heard of anything so odd. And the item in question was like $1100
