suggest that u wait for a couple of mths. banks need to have the comfort that u r having stable income for at least 6mths-12mths. and they will gauge this using payslip and CPF contribution history.
unless u have a very strong profile (depending on their scorecards) that they are willing to override normal credit criteria.

I got credit cards when I was making $20-$25k .. LOL
There is no rule that you must make $30k in order to get a credit card. Each bank/financial institution has it's own set of rules/criteria and that is based on lots more than what you make. Like your credit-worthiness (credit score, how responsible you are with credit).. and lots more. It is a number's game to be sure, but I know people getting $800 a month in State Disability with $10k credit limit cards. Go figure.
No need for folks to bash Capital one.. I have a couple of low interest, no fee cards with them and they report to the Bureaus monthly. As far as the $$ requirements listed by another person on here.. he is dead wrong on all of them. I know lots of people with AMEX that don't make even close to $60k.

Look out for any "Road Show" at various Shopping centres for credit card promotion by various banks. The bank credit card promoter will know how to settle your problem because I ever told by them that annual salary is not important. They only need your signature on the application form and a photostat copy of your IC.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Does the application give a minimum amount of anual income to be considered? If not, just add up your income. If you're paid hourly, and work the traditional 40 hour week, take your hourly rate and multiply by 2080 to get the annual equivalent. If you're salaried and get paid semi-monthly take the gross pay amount and multiply by 24.
Good luck!

Oh please! You don't even need any minimum income now for credit card applications. Banks are so desperate for credit card applicants they'll accept every Tom, Dick and Harry!

The three answers above here are 100% wrong. Citi requires at least 50K, Bank of America wants 45k...Amex is 60K cut off. The higher rate cards and the sub-prime lenders may only require as little as 20K..Captal one is the worst out there..Don't go with them...high rates...they don't report credit limits to your credit reports..so it always looks like you are maxed out even if you have $5. on your card...this in turn will lower your credit score..which is exactly what they want...they want you to have bad credit so you will need them..avoid them.
Good Luck!

a credit card usually requires minimum of $30,000.
if your month income doesnt exceed $2,500, then you have to submit your latest IR8A tax form, which usually includes:
monthly salary X 12 months
bonus
other form of income from company
income from other sources
if your monthly income exceeds $2,500, then you can request your company to issue a letter to prove that you are earning this figure and submit it to the credit card company.
