I was thinking about becoming a personal grocery shopper for people who need it. I need to make some extra money on the side, and I thought maybe this was a good idea. What kind of percentage or fee do you think is fair to charge?

What are some good jobs in the medical field that pay really good? And, how many years in college would I have to take if I wanted that job?

For example, I wanted to be a Respritory Therapist, and I ended up being a Retail Manager, and now a Merchandiser.

As kid's we are in such a hurry to grow up, and when we become adults, wonder where the time went....

I was laid-off "due to downsizing" from a company in which I was employed 11 mos. It was a customer service job in which I hated and I'd like to leave it off my resume in general. If an employer performs a background check, can they discover I once worked for a company and failed to mentioned it?

I am working part-time at a horrible car dealership. Every employee there is miserable and underpaid. GOOD people have been fired left and right, and no one knows when the ax will drop on them. When I took the job, I was told it would be part-time then full-time, with part-time around 20 hours a week. The girl who was leaving changed her mind, so I have had nothing but 10-14 hours a week. The job is horrible, I am expected to do far too many things than one person is humanly capable of, I am underpaid, and I am miserable.

I as offered a great full-time job in a field I know I love, and was asked to start in a week and a half. I am just out of college, so I'd really like to one last week of summer and "childhood" before I have to be an adult.

My question is, how can I quit this job? Is it completely wrong to just say "I quit" and walk out? I really don't care about references. I just want out.

We are short handed at work and my manager has been going around to other employers in the same field, asking their employees if they'd like to come work for our company. Isn't that illegal? You can't just go around doing that can you? Any details would be appreciated.

I'm very good at editing and stuff like that.
People say I should do modeling, but I don't know how to start. I'm not allergic to anything.
I HATE babysitting. I'm a girl.
Most of the businesses around here allow only 16 and over, even though at 14 I can get a permit from the highschool.
I pick up things pretty quick so I'm willing to learn pretty much any kind of work. I would walk dogs, but I just moved here and don't really know anyone. I'm also capable of something with more responsibility. I need ideas though. Help. I need a job.

I'll appreciate it if someone can help me.

Ok, so about a week ago I got a job through a staffing agency and now I am already working. According to a staffing agency website, job seekers don't have to pay anything. And now the company I am working at give me a paper to sign that say that if i terminate my employment at their company, I'll have to pay on a prorated basis. That is even after 6 months of employement, which I know I can't quit before that.

I didn't know I'll have to pay if I want to quit. I never meant to stick with this company forever.

Is it like this with all agencies or have I been misleaded?

plz plz plz help

So, I'm 24 junior year of college doing B.S. in communications. I never really knew what I wanted to do so I've always stuck with banking because the pay is decent and benefits are better. I always write letters for my friends who may have trouble with with something and need a letter to explain a problem or seeking payment from someone.....you know like a lawyer would write. I was recently thinking how I would really ENJOY being an attorney, but specifically an attorney that deals with "lemon law". You know, like purchasing a new car and everything going wrong with it, so you need a lemon law attorney.
What steps do I need to take to becoming an attorney that deals with lemon law? I'm 24, do you think it's too late to study law? How long will it take me?
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm starting a teaching job at a small private school (in 5 days!!). I have 3 small children, so the schedule would be great. HOWEVER I just got called to get drug tested for the Post Office, which pays good, and I'd start out PTF (part-time flexible). The pay is almost double what I'd make at school! What to do???? Is God gonna be mad at me if I quit my job at a Christian school (which I've barely started??)

A colleague at my work who has the exact same position as me and actually started the same day as me has been given more responsibilities. I feel she is actually very poor at her job and often cuts corners and says she "doesn't care".

The only reasons that I can think of how we differ is that she is about 3 years older then me and is also of african descent, and I seem to get on with our supervisor just aswell as she does, if not more as she takes more time off.

I feel quite upset by this and I am unsure what to do or how to take it. Thanks

I need to write 2 letters of recommendation for two seperate people that walked out on a job because they were a) fed up with what was going on there b) sick of the way they were being treated c) so many other things. The letter(s) I'm writing are more like character recommendation letters, but I've never written a letter of recommendation before, but they can't get letters from their previous employer because all the previous employer would do is talk smack about them even though all they ever did for their employer was 150% beyond what was needed. Any advice?

I have my BSc and a diploma in medical laboratory sciences. Theres not much oppurtunity where I live for a career in this, and I really want to stay where I am as I'm buying a house very soon here. Oil is getting big here on the east coast of canada. There are several companies here. Hebron has just signed on. I would be interested in getting a job with an oil company but don't have an engineering degree or geology background. Are there any jobs someone with my background would be suitable for? Thanks.

I've only called off twice, I'm always 10-15 minutes early, and I do my job. In fact I've gotten several raises, and he's constantly praising my work. Yet, every time I apply somewhere, they tell me I had a bad reference. They can't tell me what he said, but they said it was the place I work at now.

How can I avoid this? What it is, is he's trying to keep me. He only has a handful of good workers, and I'm one of them. I know he can't do this, but I want out - NOW! I'm not financially able to take him to court if that's my only option. Oh, and I'm not the only one he's doing this to. There's another girl that's been trying to leave too.

How can I bring him up in job interviews without sounding like I'm lying or that I'm a jerk that doesn't like her boss? I'm so confused. He's such a jerk, and I really want out. I want to work under a photographer to learn and get out of the minimum wage jobs.

Hi, I had a job interview with the NIH a couple of weeks ago. The position is a supportive staff for a program director. The interview went pretty well and the people all seemed very nice. I wonder if any of you has any experience working there, and if so, how do you feel about it? How is the potential for promotion/ advancement if you're not a PhD?

I kno that its discourteous not to give two weeks notice but I quit a job when I was 17 years old (im now 19) at a clothing store working part time. Me and the manager were very close but I had to end up getting another job because i was making minimum wage and only getting 6-12 hours a week, and plus I was about to start school full time. The stress of 2 jobs was too much for me so I quit my job at the clothing store without giving notice....The manager that was there when i was there doesnt work there anymore and i want to go back and apply for a job...do you think i have a chance of getting rehired?
**No rude commentz please**

In the last few years I have gone to a lot of these things here in San Francisco. But I all ways get the felling that after they tell you that"We don't have anything right now for you". I wonder how many of those files that they start on people end up toss away as soon as you leave the office. Has anyone ever worked at one of there places?

Okay, I couldn't find the email that had the address my to a 2nd interview which was 70 miles away. I called 55 minutes before I was supposed to arrive and let them know I was going to be late. I arrived 15 minutes late. In haste to leave, I locked myself out of my house without my keys and forgot to bring copies of my resume. I think the interview went well, and I'm very qualified for the position. The position is to be a leasing agent at an apartment community, I have a real estate broker's license and 4 years experience in leasing/property management. I already emailed a thank you letter with my resume attached.

Is my tardiness and not bringing my resume going to hurt me that much?

I did get the, we have other interviews over the next couple of days and we'll be in touch response which I've gotten several times with other interviews.

I have a job interview tomorrow morning.
I am already employed.
The job I have applied for is one of greater opportunity and is in the same industry I now work in and have over 10 years experience in.
I know all the basics - smile, make eye contact, dress for success, etc.
But are there any other ways in which I can make myself stand out from all of the other applicants?
I desperately want this position as it would be a wonderful career advancement - but I don't want to seem desperate!

Also, would it be improper to wear a black skirt?
Would it seem too formal or like I was attending a funeral?
I planned on perhaps wearing a black skirt with a light colored dress shirt.
If anyone has any tips to offer I would be most appreciative!!
