Believe it or not, that's an easy one.... because if you do what you love, you'll be good, no matter what, just because you love it.
My grandma used to always say to me: Pick a job that you love with passion. That way, you'll never have to work a day in your life. She was right.
I was in criminal law until 2003, when I quit, took a year off and returned to school to study design. I love design and don't miss the law. I'm good at both, but passionate about design... now, I don't have to work another day in my life! Because doing what I love isn't working... it's like playing! Sometimes, I almost feel guilty because it's sooooo much fun doing what I love.
So, in your time of crisis here, ask yourself a very important question: When you are laying on your deathbed and just about to die, do you think you'll say, gosh... I wish I had spent more of my time here doing what I was good at instead of doing what I loved and my life would have been so much better and happier...
I mean really. Think about it. I'm good at cleaning toilet bowls... doesn't mean I want to do it as a career... I'd much rather design new rooms! Janitors in government buildings here in Canada make about 21$/hour.... But I'd still rather be a designer and own my own business, even if it meant eating peanut butter adn jelly for a month.
It's simple: Life isn't just all about money. And I'm a firm believer that if you start heading yourself to what you really want to do, the universe will catch up with you and you'll start seeing opportunities everywhere to do what you want and you'll start meeting people who can help get you where you want to go. Life's funny like that... Isn't it great!
Good luck.... I know there are no guarantees going into anything but I do know one thing after more than 30 years on the job market and in business.... If you don't go after what you're meant to have and what you love, then the results ARE guaranteed... in a couple of months, you'll be right back here on yahoo asking the same kind of question...
Remember.... we usually regret what we DON'T do in life, rather than what we DO...
All the best to you... I hope you find what you're looking for... just look inside... it's there... where you buried it underneath other people's expectations of what your life should look like when really, only you know what your life should look like... for you!

I do what I am good at because the pay is great and I love my job because I am good at it and the pay is great.
