I think they are intimidating. Since I am not the skinny, blond, preppy type, I just steer clear of them because I just feel more insecure.

Kind of depends on the age and generation and all. I am 56 and my eye goes straight to a man in a suit and tie and I love it. but I was raised in school when females could only wear dresses. And yes, I think visual is big, but then personality can ruin it in about 5 seconds but i worked retail with a gal who was truly built for Playboy and the guys always came in to buy things just to drool over her and she didn't like it. ???? I'm average looking but I love my personality. and I've had customers beg me to come back to the store and cashier because they miss the fun we had so ??

It is a scientifically proven fact that people like and trust "attractive" people more than less attractive. Just a fact of life and human nature.

But looks can be overcome by ability and personality.

Personally, I gravitate towards the salespeople that are knowledgeable, polite and helpful. I really could not care less about their attractiveness.

For me, attractive features wouldn't have an influence. I think the best salesperson is dressed neatly, has good grooming, a pleasant and confident personality as well as knows his/her product.

No, value and style influence my taste in clothes, not the looks of the salesperson.

Doesn't matter if you are big or small - just how you handle that smile. I would prefer anyone who wanted to help me smiling than the surly little b..... with an attitude.
