I just started a new job about a month ago, I really like the job and the benefits are awesome. However, one of the other women I work with is always putting me down. Pointing out my mistakes and making rude comments about everything I do. It is really getting to me. She isn't my boss or anything she has just been there for much longer and thinks she is. I don't know what to do. Confronting her is not an option I don't think, I've already tried, and I don't want to quit. What shoud I do?

Today marks exactly two weeks before I'm supposed to return to work after being out on Maternity Leave. After mulling over it, I've decided to become a stay at home mom while finishing up my degree. Should I submit a resignation letter or should I just call my employer and tell them that I'm not returning? Also, if I should submit a letter, what should it say? Should it be worded like a "traditional" resignation? Thanks!

I work at a business now making $800 every two week and I just got offered a job at a bank making about half of that (between the pay cut and the hours). I hate my current job and have decided to take the bank job because I will have more opportunites to move up plus I also plan on going to college to get my degree in accounting. I can afford the pay cut. Am I making the right decision??

I currently am a store manager of a small business and my school schedule in the Fall makes it impossible for me to be here as much as I should. I have been trying to find people to hire hours when I cannot be here but that's nearly impossible too. I'm real stressed out about this and I don't know how to break it to the owner that he needs to find a new manager. I've only been managing for 2 months because the previous one quit unexpectedly and I stepped up. I don't want to leave, but I just can't manage anymore so I'm willing to step down to my previous position. How do I tell him and is a month and a half enough notice for him to hire and train someone?

Is it normal for a college to refuse to give information out to a prospective employer regarding degree obtained, dates of attend, etc... My college is refusing to do this despite the fact that I signed a release through the company. They are saying me record is closed. I offered them a copy of my diploma and transcripts, so we should be fine...just curious about the situation.

I have been unemployed for three years. I am running out of money and are just plain desparate. I have decided I am going to lie to get a job. I have set up an virtual receptionist to act as my telephone contact for a "fake employer" I have friends who will act as professional references and boss. I have worked with them for hours in role playing excercises and feel like it may work.
I have nothing to lose. If they find out it is all a fraud and do not hire me or fire me after finding out, I will be in the same position as I am today.
Have you ever lied to get a job? What do you think?

I left 3 months ago on good terms (ie: put in 2 wk notice, still talk to old co-workers, etc.) but for several reasons; they were eliminating my position and I wasn't interested in the one available, I also was not happy with the boss that was there (he's since been fired).
A new position has opened in another department and I was told by an old co-worker that they wanted me to send in my resume.
My question is how do I delicately say I left because I wasn't thrilled with the place?! LOL? Yes, I know there is a chance I won't be happy w/ the scenerio again but this is a temp. position that I am comfortable doing.
Again, my question is what can I say that isn't negative in my interview about why I quit last time?

I have been with this company since February and never since that time have salaries been paid on time. As it is, we are still waiting for June's and Management hides behind a 'cash flow problem' excuse and only when asked. They are not courteous enough to give advance warning or something! I'm really fed up with this and other things but while looking for a new job, what can I do to redress this issue? What can be done to make sure workers get the respect they deserve?

I lost a trial and the defense attorney filed for attorney's fees for $100,000. My lawyer filed motion to dismiss and they soon dropped the motion for attorney's fees.

But the judge presiding over the case is a nutjob. She scolded my lawyer for filing the case (even though it was 100% legit) and pretty much tried to persuade the defense to refile for attorney's fees, even though the 60-day window has passed.

Here's my question: so if the defense re-files for attorney's fees and prevails, what legal recourse do I have???? The judge is a real nutjob and she even admitted in court to not even reading over our motions!!!!!!

So what can I do if that happens? Is there a way to overturn it on the grounds that she overstepped her bounds by encouraging the defense to refile and not do it within 60 days?????? Shouldn't she be disbarred for such a thing???? What are my chances I can prevail??? (THIS IS IN LA COUNTY, CA, USA)

My lawyer's away so I can't ask him =(
