I will soon be done with my MSEE and BSEE and plan to work somewhere technical at first. However, I want to move beyond just engineering and was wondering what would be more interesting and worthwhile to pursue... MBA or Law School? Thanks

Law is a more specialized field. If you're not sure you want to be a lawyer -- that is you think you want a law degree to run a company, teach, be more marketable in the job search world -- there are easier ways to get there than getting getting a three-year JD degree.

Plus, you'd have to take the LSAT test, which might be harder than the GMAT given your MSEE and BSEE background. Check out http://www.testsherpa.com if you want to learn more about the LSAT Test and how law schools look at applicants.

An MBA from a good school is faster, more flexible in the business world. But if you love the law, you love the law.

Depends upon what you wish to specialize in.

One of the problems in technical fields is a general lack of business knowledge on the part of technical staffers. From that perspective, an MBA would be an excellent addition to your wall as you'd now be a technical expert who understands the business end as well. That's a pretty powerful combination.

I guess it depends on what you want to do. Law school will open a lot of doors, but so will an MBA.

My sister attended a convocation and saw a whole bunch law graduates. Like there were sooooo many. What are they all going to do? Ambulance chasers I guess.
