I am going to say a job that you enjoy. If you are not happy with a what you do, the salary will not be worth it.

But having a low salary, with the job that you enjoy, does not help pay all the bills that is necessary.

I am in a job that i enjoy, but the pay is not that great. Therefore, I am not able to pay all my bills, like my doctor bills, that keep piling up. And will get bigger now that I know that I have to have surgery.

Depends what you want from life!
I suppose the high salary would obtain for you a certain lifestyle - are you bothered about where you live, the school your kids go to, the holidays you go on, the size of your car, the size of your house?
Or, do you feel you could be happy regardless of these things?
If the answer to the latter is yes - go for something you will enjoy and live withing your means.
If the answer is no - focus on the salary!

I think a job you enjoy is much better than a high salery, but this is open to abuse by employers who will take advantage if you are doing a job you enjoy. It is a bit like voluntery work
cheap use of people by the goverment. I think £10 per hour should be a standard wage in Britain and even that is low.
I think employers who pay less than this are abusing their workforce.

a high paying job that you hate is never worth it. You usually think and dread about your job 24 hours a day, even though you're only working 8 to 10 hours a day. So you're really only getting paid for 1/3 of the time even though it consumes your whole life.
Not to mention, a high-stress job can put you in the hospital or even worse.
If you love your job, you can usually eventually get paid more, because you excel at it, and get promoted or maybe even open your own business doing it.

It depends I think, if you really need the money for a good reason, then you'd probably last longer/are more motivated to hold a job in which you earn more. Though at some point I still think you'd be getting problems dragging yourself out of bed to go to that job.
If financially you are ok, I'd pick a job you really enjoy, I think you'd also be more able to keep that going.
