I have been with this company since February and never since that time have salaries been paid on time. As it is, we are still waiting for June's and Management hides behind a 'cash flow problem' excuse and only when asked. They are not courteous enough to give advance warning or something! I'm really fed up with this and other things but while looking for a new job, what can I do to redress this issue? What can be done to make sure workers get the respect they deserve?

You are working for a company that is in violation of the wage and hour laws of the Department of Labor. Visit www.dol.gov to find the link for your state and file a claim.

Companies are required to post their pay days in the location where employee notices are posted. They are required to pay employees on time for the hours they have worked. If they don't, they are subject to fines and other penalties. "Cash flow problems" are not a valid excuse - although you should certainly take that as a cue to find other employment before these folks run the company completely into the ground.

Good luck!

contact the DEpt of Labor.
this is a serious issue and should not be ignored. payroll is the #1 cost to be paid in ANY company.
obviously, these people have been getting away with this and think they can.
contact the DOL and file an official complaint.
it's something like www.dol.gov something like that.

google "department of labor"

take care.

It sounds like the company is on very shaky financial grounds. I'd look for another job.

Good luck.
