(I mean where do I apply for such a job? I have checked websites of several airlines but none of them list this position in their career search. Are food service personnels hired by contracters? If so, how do I apply to a contracter? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks a bunch!)

I have a sales job where I work on commission only and it requires me to travel daily. I have been paying for my own gas for 6 months now and I guess I kind of understand that. Now my boss wants me to start driving my own vehicle or buy one off of him. I feel like I am having to pay to work for him. I think that I can get money back for milage on my taxes, right? Am I missing anything here? Do I have a valid point? Thanks!

Is it okay in a job interview to say the only reason why you took your current job was because you viewed it as a stepping stone to gain experience to help you move up in your career?

Stay or Go?
I've been working PT in a retail clothing store since February. I've been calling in for someone else to cover my shift last month. Like 2- 3 X's. My boss hasn't been scheduling me. I called her up and ask for some hours. She mention saying I kept calling for pepole to cover my shift that's why she hasn't been scheduling me. I told her next time she schedule I'll show up. I am working FT temporary right now and am going to college and just got an interview for a PT Receptionist job at a dealership. Pays much better, and has a set schedule for evening work. Should I give my two week notice or just stay?

I want to apply to B & N for a job. I don't know if they're hiring since it's the middle of the summer, but I'm going to go see tomorrow. I'm 17, and I've never had a job, so I'm kind of unsure as to how it works. Once I pick up an application and fill it out, then what? Do I just fill it out there and hand it right back to them? Do I need to give them a resume and what needs to be on it, will they schedule an interview, what should I wear, what will they ask, if I get a job do I get to discuss hours with them, etc, etc. Thanks!

I'm currently employeed at a locally owned insurance agency where I have been working for 8 months now. Lately, my boss (who also owns the business) has been coming on to me. Yesterday, he asked if I would sleep with him, I politely told him that I was not interested. He then threatened if I didn't, I could kiss my job goodbye. I really don't know what to do. I need this job. I have a mortgage and a car payment to think about. I cannot afford to be fired. I can't complain to anyone else because he owns the place of busniess. I'm in a hard situtation. What should I do?

Two months ago, I transferred from one store in a chain to another because my last one I wasn't been given any responsibilities. And a supervisor was harassing me.

I didn't know at my new store that the store manager was such a b*tch. She abuses staff whilst they serve on registers if they do something wrong. She abuses the other manager. She always seems to add a snipe to everything, like "You need to do this because you need practice" etc.

I have only been there a month and a bit. From what I know, she is universally disliked. She is pleasant when her boss is around (my former manager) so he doesn't see it. But, three people will/have left in 3 months, I suspect the other manager is leaving. The store is on a "weekly target". This is NOT commonplace. Sounds like it may go under...

Another store has a position. I came to this store because of the other manager, as well as the "promotion" that she always has excuses to not give to me. I am really unhappy. Should I try to leave?

Hello,

My questions is in regards to a misdemeanor domestic violence conviction. I was thinking about pursuing a career in law enforcement but have discovered that having such a conviction prevents one from carrying a gun. What other job occupations are limtied with this conviction? Would becoming a school counselor/teacher be out as well? Thanks!

It's been over seven years since her last job interview. What would be the appropriate level of attire for this occasion? She has a couple of business suits to wear, some dresses, or should she just wear nice slacks and a nice blouse? The person interviewing her will be a woman.

Thanks

what i don't understand is....if teachers are the "professionals" teaching doctors, and lawyers and other high paying jobs....how come they get paid so much less??? I mean....wouldn't it make sense for the person training future doctors and lawyers to be paid just as much, if not more? after all, teachers are the ones "creating" these people....

i guess this is directed more towards college professors

my second question is
why do k-12 teachers get paid so little?

well, i live in florida and from what i see, the less money the teachers make, the dumber they make the kids...lol
