Two months ago, I transferred from one store in a chain to another because my last one I wasn't been given any responsibilities. And a supervisor was harassing me.

I didn't know at my new store that the store manager was such a b*tch. She abuses staff whilst they serve on registers if they do something wrong. She abuses the other manager. She always seems to add a snipe to everything, like "You need to do this because you need practice" etc.

I have only been there a month and a bit. From what I know, she is universally disliked. She is pleasant when her boss is around (my former manager) so he doesn't see it. But, three people will/have left in 3 months, I suspect the other manager is leaving. The store is on a "weekly target". This is NOT commonplace. Sounds like it may go under...

Another store has a position. I came to this store because of the other manager, as well as the "promotion" that she always has excuses to not give to me. I am really unhappy. Should I try to leave?

Yes try and move, it sounds like you have a bad situation there. Hopefully the new place will be someplace that you can stay for a while.

NO, if you keep transferring you are only running from the problem. I would go to whoever can actually fix the problem, set down and talk to them and let them be aware of the problem and work w/ them to fix it. They aren't going to give you a promotion when you are always running from a problem. They want to see the fighter, the one that will stick it out and work w/ them to get the store where it needs to be. Don't run, take responsibility and control. If you want a promotion you are going to have to take the bad for the good. Just hang in there, you will learn alot along the way no matter what. Good Luck!!

Whenever someone has problems with the boss in more than one position, it is wish to ask, "Is the problem with the bosses, or with the employee?" If they manager has lost 3 people in 3 months, Her boss would have to be blind not to notice. What is missing from your side of the story?
