They want to know 1) what your weakness is and 2) what you do, or have done, to turn it into a strength.

Well, answering your strengths is easy. The interviewer is looking for things geared toward the job position. Pick out a few bulleted requirements in the job description that bring out your strengths.
For weaknesses, you want to point out the things you are working on developing and/or how you cope with the weakness. For example, my weakness is I tend to put too much on my plate; however have learned to notice the signs and have learned to delegate responsibilities more effectively in order to meet deadlines. This example states a weakness and tells the interview how I overcome the obstacle.
Always be sure to state what you are doing to overcome your weakness, whether it be reading magazines and articles, attending classes or training, ect. It shows you are serious about growth.

You need to set aside modesty and tell them what you do well and be prepared to tell them examples. For example if you are good at problem solving they will ask you to explain what problem you solved before.
The weakness thing is more expecting you to think before opening your mouth. You could name a weakness that is a strength like saying you are a perfectest but they might see that either way that you do great work and pay attention to detail or that you don't get anything done because you nit pick.
This is a good way to get eliminated, one applicat told me she didn't deal well with stupid people. I wanted her for software support dealing with stupid people on the phone. We talked about it and I hired her anyhow but that was a bad thing to say.

I said i have no experience in this kind of environment but I do learn and adapt to the environment quickly. Though this is true to me, do not lie to the interviewers if you say this.

what ever else you tell them let this be a definite--
tell them you have good people skills, and patients and you work well under pressure.
