I am getting ready to enter my senior year in high school, and after I graduate, I am interested in going to school to become a sonographer; specifically, an Obstretic Gynecological (OB/GYN) Sonographer. How much schooling is needed to persue a career in this field?? And where can I get this schooling from? ..Do I need to go to a college, or are there technical/vocational schools that are an alternative?

I'm thinking about going back to school for cooking/baking/pastry... i've read a little about it online so i don't want any websites or "facts". I want to know, to all you culinary buffs/students/chefs, what are the positives and negatives about school??? what do you absolutely love, or hate about it? also, what is your current job? (while you are going thru school) Any other interesting opinions about culinary school are welcome. :) thanks!

I need to know if I can take any legal action. There have been performance discussions and he said I am lacking an "intangible" angle of management, but they cannot document what it is. Plus, he also admitted to me that I am "overpaid" for my job- when I've been doing the job and getting paid for a year! I have not contacted my HR group yet, but I'm about to and I want to know if I have any ground to stand on in regards to a constructive dismissal.

I was "laid off" from my job (i have only had this job for about 4 weeks) by a lower rank boss last friday. Come to find out I was'nt laid off, he told my Main boss that I quit so he can take my hours. i have been trying to call my main boss and he has'nt return any of my phone calls. I have a few group luncheons coming up at work. Everyone talks about their children.

I am divorced and my child lives about 3000 miles away with her dad/ grandmother. I gave up custody during the divorce.

If you have held a job for several years, is it legal for the company to suddenly tell people that they have to re-interview for the position that they hold? If they choose to terminate you based on this "interview" is that legal considering you currently hold the position without performance issues?

I'm thinking about majoring in Air Traffic Control. It took me 3 months to find a new job. i found a job as an account executive and I HATE it! I'm not into the work and my boss is a complete Bi+ch! It is an unprofessional environment and it is a joke. I do not want to waste their time and more importantly do not want to waste my time. I have been looking for a new job since the first day I started. I have a few interviews but can't keep taking days off to interview because I am still new at this dreadful job. I truly hate this job. Also, there was another lady who started the same day as me and she QUIT this Friday because she could not take it... Is this a no brainer?

I'm clueless as to what jobs I could get as a fresh graduate with a business management bachelors degree and no work experience related to management. I have worked during my academic years as a bank teller, a waitress a cashier but obviously it's not management.

If I put in a two weeks notice with a job, but then told not to bother with the two week notice by the manager and just leave, so I did. But I hear through the grapevine a few weeks later that the job is spreading rumors that they fired me because of something I didnt do, but could threaten my future in that career,isnt that slander and what are my rights?

I plan to attend Southeastern Louisiana University, I plan to major in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education (I'm still deciding), can I also enroll in Ashworth College and take classes by mail for a Associates Degree so I can do a little Paralegal Studies before I become a teacher. I was going to try (I may not) minor in Business @ Southeastern so I wouldn't be able to do Paralegal Studies with them. But is it possible to do this?
