I can get SS but after my HS graduation, ill have to go back to get my I-94 in my country

but anyway, is there any chance at all if i can work over the summer. i want to do internship and they still need SS, they dont even pay.... im in NY btw

sorry 3rd question:

yes im good at computers
in fact i built my own comp (the one im using >.< =) )

but if i want to do baby sitting or errr consulting how do i like do it, how do i advertise myself?

For employment purposes, you need either a SSN or an ITIN in the US. An ITIN is a Individual Taxpayer Identification Number and is given by the IRS to individuals subject to US taxes but not eligible for a SSN. The link below has more info about ITINs. ALL US citizens are eligible for a SSN. Because your question seems to indicate you are not currently a US citizen, you should check to be sure you a legally allowed to work in the US.

Some resteraunts will pay you under the table. You could try babysitting if you like kids. You could mow lawns. You could do odd jobs for people. If you are good at something like computers, you could do consulting. The only thing is that when you don't have a ss#, you probably can't open a checking account, so you may need to make arrangements to be paid in cash. When you do that, you are setting yourself up to get screwed over. But I think its worth taking the chance. Good Luck!
