I just graduated with a degree in management and a focus in HR. I have no job yet. Anyway, I seem to get a lot of offers for sales jobs. You could do that or you could work as a manager in a retail store, an office manager/coordinator/supervisor, an insurance claims underwriter or adjuster, branch manager at a bank (you got experience there), and so on...

I attended college twice and both institutions had job placement assistance available. Why havent you utilized that service? Also, armed with a BS degree, you can now look thru the classifieds for entry level jobs requiring the BS. You can also dress for success one day and spend the day in teh city leaving your resume (or curriculum vitae) with the corporations (large and small) located in the business district. If fortunate enough to get an interview, let them know if you are willing to work at a lower salary to gain the experience. But I would not suggest doing that for just any position....after all, you DO have a degree! Good luck

You should first consider what field you want to enter and eventually manage. Retail, restaurant, distribution, etc. Then choose a company that you can research for their opportunities for management training. You'll have to start out learning the business from a lower level, but this will also allow you to get some experience and watch the managers style and effectiveness. This should help you begin to develop your own style while gaining valuable experience. Good luck.

I would check out hotjobs, career builder, and monster to see what jobs are available in business and what you are interested in. Ask your college the same question above. Maybe they can help you in finding a job in your specialty. I have my BSBA degree and I am working on my MBA and let me tell you - getting into mangagement after college is nearly impossible. I am not in management and have been working for 13 years in the industry that I am in. It is called climbing the career ladder. I wish I could give you an easy answer to this question.. but there isn't one.
Best of luck to you!!

you're in an exceptionally annoying organisation at a touch annoying time. the appliance organisation is approximately as delicate and profitless an business enterprise as all of us would desire to locate, and that they desire good salesmen extra desirable than they desire an green supervisor. the best-controlled concerns make you artwork on the floor till you be attentive to a thank you to do each little thing. It teaches you concerning the human beings: shoppers, sales team, and each and all of the conflicts and issues encountered via a storekeeper. no one taught you a thank you to handle a shoplifter, a hearth inspector, a unethical worker or a drunken, infuriated client in history of economic institutions type. Your present day activity will do merely that. evaluate it an front examination, and study all you may from what you spot and hear. if your organisation is clever--and that i somewhat anticipate that they are, having stayed interior the toughest organisation exterior of a foodstuff shop for some years--then you certainly'll finally end up in administration after some years. And what you would be doing then is telling some youngster who thinks he discovered to administration a shop in college that he has to check to do inventory and wait on shoppers first.

If you're into retail, most chains (such as Target) offer a position for recent grads with a management degree. I believe the program is designed to mold you into a store manager within a few years.

Product manager or marketing manager.

The models to which you've been exposed will help in presenting a justification for the recommendations that you will submit to management for approval.
