My report is about teenage babysitting and how it is a great job for teenagers! I explain about how getting money isn't the most important thing. I also explained how it teaches you responsibility.

Serious situation here... I am in the process of being offered a job at a good company. They said that they are going to do a criminal background check... and if all goes well then I should be working by next monday (16th).

OK.. heres where it gets tricky. I was arrested in Dec of 2006 for shoplifitng felony (actually I was supposed to be named as an accomplise to the crime instead of as the actual shoplifter.)
I spoke with my defender and he said that most likely it can be dropped to a misdemeanor when I go and take my plea later on this month. I was wondering, when they conduct the background check on me, what will show up? I have not been convicted of a felony, because my court date has yet to come. Do you think that a "pending felony" charge will show up on my criminal check? or will it just show up as " no felonies". I have no other felonies from the past, so I was wondering that since I'm in this grey area between court dates and a job, what will come up when they do a check

I am 13 and live in a small town. All of the businesses want you to be 14-16 years old. Everyone want 17 yr old babysitters or older ones. What kind of job could I get in such a small town when no one wants someone my age.

I'm not having a lemonade stand or anything. Be serious.

Last monday I Had received a phone call from someone from the human resources of citibank. He ask me several questions. Then, he told me that he just pulling up my resumen and that somebody from the branch is going to call me back. I dont believe him because if he calling me for a job that I apply before is to tell me to coming for an interview. I feel I wasnt prepared for that telephone interview thats the reason why I know he is lying.

I know there are federal and state laws governing this issue. I'm wondering exactly what information is disclosed during a background check. I'm asking because I was a former police officer who got charged with two felonies and two misdemeanors (domestic incident) a month ago. The charges are false and are being fought with an attorney. Don't wanna go into too many details, but all charges will be dropped in the end. The victim doesn't want to testify, and never did. No victim, no case. Anyways, I know that if I applied to be another police officer or work for a Police Agency, they can run a special background check that will show the arrest, but if a private corporation say Walmart, or Target were to run my background for an employment check, only Felony Convictions would show up right? Or would the arrest show up as well? I know the application only says to list convictions, so im not listing anything. I just really want this job!! Pays very well with good benefits! :) Anyone?

i have just graduated from a university here in Thailand, with a GPA of 3.81, i'm qualified for the 1st honor rank which is the Summa Cumma Laude. My english is pretty good and fluent.Anyway, I've been offered 2 jobs at 2 different organization: Pricewaterhouse Coopers(PWC) and ExxonMobil. The dilemma here is that the job is different and so is the salary.
At PWC, i'm offered a job as a tax consultant with a salary of only 16k baht (convert to $ div by 36). The job is supposed to be very challenging as i'll be working with a new tax case like every week but the pay is real low for a person with my qualifications
While Exxon has offered me a job as Accounting Analysis. Responsible for performing duties related to fixed-asset accounting, inter-company accounting, bank reconciliation, inventory accounting, cost allocation, account closing, financial accounting and/ or balance sheet. The pay is 25 k , not sure if the job is challenging.
which job do i have a better future with? Help
