Last monday I Had received a phone call from someone from the human resources of citibank. He ask me several questions. Then, he told me that he just pulling up my resumen and that somebody from the branch is going to call me back. I dont believe him because if he calling me for a job that I apply before is to tell me to coming for an interview. I feel I wasnt prepared for that telephone interview thats the reason why I know he is lying.

It is not unusual for an HR person to interview you over the phone the second they get a hold of you. They are not secretaries that just schedule meetings, they help make hiring decisions. You just made it through round one of decision making.

If they like you they move your stuff to a manager. If the manager likes what they see on paper they will bring you in. The HR person isn't lying, and they aren't promising you a job either. But they felt your answers were strong enough that a manager will want to meet with you face to face.

I don't mean to knock you but re-read your question, the sentences do not make for good reading. I hope the spelling and sentence structure were better on your resume. When I moved to Texas from Florida at age 58 I had out 26 applications at once, got a call from a store manger asking me to come in for an interview on Monday. This was about 7 pm on a Saturday night. Spent 19 years with the company.

Why would he call you at all if he was just going to lie? That doesn't make any sense. Just because you weren't ready doesn't make him a liar. It just made you unprepared. Maybe he wanted to see what you could do under pressure. If he doesn't call you, it won't be because he lied. It will be because you ultimately are not the best candidate for the job. There is no motivation for someone to call you like that just to lie to you.

Send him a thank you for your time and consideration postcard: Its another way to let them see your name and that you will go over and beyond to complete a task... that way if he didn't want to call he might re think it... good luck

If he said he was going to follow up, he probably will. I don't think he'd intentionally LIE to you. But, you could always professionally call them back and followup.
