I am going to apply at the Marriott and Hyatt Hotels. Does Human Resources deny people like me? It happened in 1999. Also, I have an idea to just call HR without them knowing my name. ANSWERS?

hi , i was asked by my co. to go to a far away city for 5 days, i reached and found that my hotel bookings are not confirmed, i waited for long hours, and decided to take next flight back home.
Now today the client called back, and saying he could book me in a plush luxurious hotel, if i could fly back to their cirty tomorrow itself.
I am agitated over what just happened with me, and i am tired as well.
My boss, also wants me to go, but can understand that i am not feeling good about all this, he's left the decision over me, i dont wanna dishearten any one though.
What should i do?

I graduated last year with a degree in German and Spanish but now I don't want to do anything with languages anymore. I'm just sick of them. Anyway, I still don't have a job because basically I don't know what to do. I've applied for a few regular jobs (in shops etc) but i haven't heard anything back from those I applied to. I've applied for a secretary job which I hope I will get an interview for but my mum keeps nagging me saying I should be handing in CV's everywhere but I don't want to be getting interviews for places where I really don't want to work. Am i being too picky? Ideally I'd love to do acting but I don't have any experience and I'm not that confident. I'm so mixed up! Please help someone!

I've heard a lot of people on here say that working moms are neglectful of their kids and don't care about their kids. I'm just wondering how people can even say that? I'm not trying to make anyone mad, so please dont' think that, I just truly am wondering why! I mean, some moms (myself included) HAVE to work to help pay the bills (I have to work to help pay the bills and we don't have ANY xtras, just house {which is a small $58,000 house}, 1 car payment and basic utilities {gas, electric, water/sewer land phone - we do NOT have cell phones or cable or any of that extra crap). I really don't think that working moms are neglectful - they are just doing what they have to do. I swear, it seems like people on here think that we working moms go to work every day dressed in stillettos and suits and take our breaks in coctail lounges climbing that "corporate ladder" when most of us work at thankless $8 an hour jobs (like me) to make ends meet and get one 30 minute break a day! see below

Does being nervous at a job interview ruin your chances of getting the job? Surely you should be judged on what you are saying? If you say good things and act proffessional but still come accross as nervous will this ruin your chances of getting the job?

My boyfriend is currently looking into trainign to be a driving instructor. I was quite surprised by the inital cost of the exams he needs to take. I wondered if anyone knows how much it would then cost to take out a franchise with a driving school like the AA or BSM to get started.

Hi, I just registered now after spending most of the night searching the net for corporate gift idea. I don't know anything about the guy except that he's the Global MD of my company and my Australian GM has me spending $35k for a 48 hr visit (building repainted, new signs, company flag, limo, airfares for all staff, dinner for 25 ppl etc) so far and now I have to come up with a rotten gift! Help me with suggestions for something different but tasteful!!
I have already looked at adopting a koala and I know he's got a Steve Parish coffee table book already so I need something different this time. Any Ideas would be welcome. Thanks

It took my boss 6 months at the library to find me for the new page (someone who shelves library materials, helps customers, etc...), and after working there for 2 1/2 years straight, i got fired last night due to "unsatisfactory work performance", but thats always used as a cover up for discrimination. I have a lot of personal issues, and she knows about my depression, bipolar, anxiety...and that i was on medication. i just dont understand why all of the sudden she just now fires me? the only problem i see with my performance is that it takes me a long time to shelve the books because either im helping patrons, or trying to make room on the shelves for the books and putting things back in order...she blames me for the reason nothing was in order, but i really was the only one who made sure that i put all the materials in order. for one, my boss is a *****, not just in my eyes, but the whole library's. ppl say how sickning she is. also, my health aint good now. i have HBP and i not well

I work in a veterinary practice so hence a love animals.
One of the vets who works there has now said he's going to need to bring his 3 dogs in daily and will let them have the run of the staff room because his wife is now out at work all day. I dont mind dogs in fact I think they're great but I dont want a labrador, shihtzu and smelly old cocker with ear problems slathering on me whilst I eat my sandwich. I voiced my concerns and he said I was being selfish. Am I being unreasonable to expect a relaxing hour,
Ps his dogs aren't trained well and take to weeing and pooing on the floor and jump up.

I work as a recruitment consultant which can be very de-motivating at times... people not turning up for interviews, turning down jobs etc. I've had an absolutely nightmarish couple of months when every single once of my applicants has turned down job offers for various reasons. So needless to say I'm now feeling pretty de-motivated and exhausted that all the work I've put in recently has amounted to nothing.

Do you have any good tips on how to get motivated at work?

But on the contrary, these company charges a one time only registration fee is
BECAUSE they only want serious job applicants filling out our surveys.
If they allowed access to the surveys for free we would have "curiosity" applicants filling out survey applications that were not really serious about the surveys, and taking up applications intended for serious job applicants.

They said that they just want to weed out the "just curious" applicants from the "serious and reliable" survey employees.

Since a survey taker can easily make the application fee back in only about an hour online, we don't really see it as a fee, but a way to show you are serious about being an online survey taker.

Please hellp me, i wanna participate to a legitimate Paid Survey Site THAT AVAILABLE HERE IN PHILIPPINES and i can really earn good enough money.
I dont know what im going to believe, Please help me guys.
Thank you in advance
