Hi everyone! I wondered if anyone has had experience using a 'Career Coach'? Are they worth the money?

If not, where is the best place to start when looking to change your career? If you are not really sure what you want to do next, where do you go?

Thank you! :-D

I have recently applied for over 22 jobs through online applications. Even with the "Now Hiring" signs, I haven't even received a single phone call or email for over 3 weeks. It shouldn't even take 3 weeks for them to call you back because all of my other friends got called back within 2 days. So my question is, does it have something to do with my application, age, sex, ethnicity, or are online applications just not effective and they don't even look at them??

Thanks...

HI everybody, after 5 months of being a Stay at home mom, I decided to get a job in a daycare so I could bring my daughter with me. I've been working for 4 days now, and is been horrible, my daughter cries all the time, she is not with me in the same room, but she is right next to me in the other infant room. I feel that she is not been taking good care of, the lady that is like 60 years old just don't put to much attention to the babies. Today when I got my daughter to go home she had the same diaper I sent her with. I just cried and cried of seen how she is suffering.
I just want to quit, but I know I signed something that says that I promise to be there for a year. Can anybody tell me if I can quit without having any legal trouble? Or how manage this problem?

How will you answer this question?
Have you ever had a conflict with a co-worker and how you handle it?
What qualities you look for in your manager?

She is very abrupt and confrontational. She doesn't seem to be as hard core towards men. I'm not sure whether it is a 'needing to earn respect issue' or a 'she doesn't have respect for herself' issue. Either way, some advice from people who have worked with difficult women in power would be great. i admire how far she has come, but I don't want to emulate her actions and I believe I can be successful without losing my self respect or being so confrontational. Any advice on steering though this and still coming out a success?

My mom was saying that the chances of getting a job when somebody fills out an online application is not as good as when you get a paper application and turn it in. Is this true?

Under reason for leaving my current job, would it be best to state "looking for more challenging position and competitive salary"? Someone previously suggested to state looking for more challenging position, but it is not so much the position, but also the salary I would like to emphasize.

My boss has asked me to spend an hour after work wrapping her in bacon and rubbing cooking oil into her breasts. Would it be wise to just go along with it, or risk dismissal?

for more details, nothing can be disclosed. I find that this is very unfair & there is no transparency. Those in HR, may I know what are the measurements used to rate an employee & can the result be manipulated, or set up traps in questionaire that can manipulate the result. I was informed that also just fill in all the rubbish that they like to hear but not what you need to say. Is that true?

I live in Florida. I passed the PE exam but know very little of HVAC? How do I get started in this field? Do I need to get on an internship to get my years of experience? How do I get picked if I don't have experience?
Any help is appreciated.

Is doing this instead of a day job something that people would value as "respectable"? Does being a reseller that produces nothing make you less important than someone who is a craftsman, builder, or producer? If you were interviewing someone for a job and they listed eBay as their sole experience, what would you think?

I currrently work at sally beauty supply since august and was working 25 hours a week. i got a second job on jan 1st and my boss was okay with it. the reason why i got a second job is because i am in debt and i need a second job to survive. well my second job now i am currently working 30 hours and going to school full time and that means i only have time to work at sallys 5 to 10 hours a week untill school gets out in may. now my boss tells me that i have to work 25 hours or they are just going ot assume im quitting my job. is that legal? i dont want to quit i just cant work more hours untill school is over in may. i tried explaining this to here and she says i have to work 25 hours. please what should i do? should i quit so i cant get fired.
