Does anyone know some good summer jobs? I'm 15 and i live on staten island, NY. I wanted to get a job, so does anyone know any good ones, and the process to get it (if any papers are needed etc.). I DON'T want to be a lifeguard, so PLEASE suggest anything good, BUT that.
Thanks

The best summer job I had was as a camp counselor. I met great friends, made ok money, but had NO expenses and lost weight. There are tons of them in NY and they are usually dying to find good candidates.

Depending on your state's laws, working at amusement parks, or fast food restaurants are usually a good start. There's also museums. You'll need to fill out job applications at any location you want to work at, plus most places will need a copy of your driver's license (or picture ID) and social security card.

Starbucks is a GREAT first job! it's good pay, you learn the value of hard work, how to respect people who prepare your food, and for your age, you'll meet lots of cool people! i don't know about your state laws, but in CA you need a working permit to get a job if you're under 18.
