there are so many things you can do to raise your grade, i cant guarantee A's, but they sure help. Group study sessions are really helpful, but only if you choose to work with others who are focused and want to do well like you do. Set aside time for homework each night, and stick to it with breaks and rewards (such as if I finish this chapter, I'll get to watch American Idol or whatnot). And most of all, ASK QUESTIONS and stay on top of assignments. getting behind in work is pretty hard to reverse. good luck!

Take a 'Study Skills' class. You don't state what grade level you are in, but I took one both in high school and college and it REALLY helped me out. It really helps you in being more efficient with the time you spend studying, so you get the maximum benefit from your time. It also gave me skills like knowing what "type" of instruction I had (some are sticklers for neatness, others for thoroughness, others like to see data, etc), and then making a strategy to give them what they want in order to maximize your grade.
A long time ago there used to exist a set of DVD's called "Where there's a will there's an A". You may want to look for these at your public library. Otherwise just go up to the reference desk at your public library and ask them for DVD's or books to enhance your study skills. Some libraries even ofter such classes.

long hours of burying yourself in your textbooks, researching topics to learn more and lots of lead and paper! I manage to do so while attending grad school full time, working full time, and maintaining my house and family (2 toddlers).
You will get out what you put in!

keeping straight A's up? way to go! keeping them up... you gotta study. study, pay attention, apply yourself, go crazy on studying before tests, etc. make school your number one priority untill you have all the material that you need down. memorize, practice, etc. its hard, but its worth it.
