Its always a good idea to go for interviews even if you think you cant get the job. You can use them as practice.
Tell the truth though. Do not try to decieve, it will make you nervous and people can pick up on that very quickly.

Try asking for a better position, management perhaps?
Before you go get all your answers ready...try to anticipate what they might ask you. Also try to think of all the reasonsd you wopuld not be good at the job...and adress them one by one. Also think of all the reasons you would be good at the job and picture how you will tell them.
Practice selling yourself. You know the interview is coming so not very much in it should suprise you...above all b e open and honest.

Good luck...Do not undersell yourself. You'll be amazed at what you can do when you try.

First and foremost your responsibilities are to your family,
if you`ve been 5 years on checkouts and frozen you should ask morrisons to move you away from the door to somewhere warmer, if they`re unwilling to do this then go for the interview.

Just say the things that you are responsible for: like replenishing stock, working on the till, giving change, keeping the work area nice and tidy - just the things that you do daily. Good luck with the interview and yes you should go - it is likely that you will get the job with your experience (5 years is good I think!) but if not it is still interview practice!

The sensible thing to do would be tell the truth... it is always easier than making up lies about things you dont know about!

Go to the interview, tell the truth and if you are offered the job you can either accept it or turn it down.

If you aren't offered the position you've lost nothing because you still have your current job.

Its a win / win situation!

your responsible for ensuring display and stock rotation of perishable goods and temperature checks of fridges and store rooms.
you also are responsible for ensuring correct procedures when taking payment for goods be it cash, credit card or cheque and handing out change and ensuring a correct float is in the till
there's lots you properly do every day and just don't realise how much you do and know, like customer service skills just dealing with customers each day helping them find items and solving any problems that crop up. after 5 years you are a highly skilled and valued team member, go for it and good luck

Serving customers, handling cash, restocking, just tell them what u do, don't lie, also put something in about being aware of health and safety, all companies love that now.
