it is a job interview question. what are the possible answers to it?

I have been on several interviews. I do everything I am suppose to do: dress nicely, wear makeup, show up early, answer questions apporiately. But I never make it passed the interview. I have come to these conclusions: I live in a rather small town, I am more educate than the interviewer and they fear that the one they hire will take over their job.

what I mean is I want to talk to the manager of my Publix about a job, but I'm not sure what to say. I don't know if he is hiring. I have been in the JAC for 7 months. What can I say for him to consider me when he is hiring in the future?

I was offered a new job today (the salary exceeded my expectations and I was able to negotiate some benefits in as well). I wanted to see how to handle a start date-they want me to start in 2 weeks. I would like to take 3-for a few reasons. I would like a few "down days" between the 2 jobs as my current job is high stress and I want to decompress and go in fresh to the new job. I will be changing insurance and want to get in some doc appts for my son and myself on my current plan which has very low copays. My son's day care would be closed two days during the first week I start the new job (going by 2 wks) for staff training and I had already put in for time off with my current job to be home those days. And finally a project I am working on will take me longer to wrap up than I expected. I have to call them back today and accept-how do I handle the start date? Do I need to explain my reasons for starting in 3 weeks vs 2? I assumed that they would have taken longer to make an offer.

My job I have now is the best paying job I ever had. I know I asked this before but I'm hoping for more feed back than I had before. But they treat me bad. I'm a cleaner and last april they need the girl who was doing the reception to take over for the parts manager (she knows how to do the aministrative work). So they put me at reception . Then they hired a parts manager. So they put her back on the reception and put me back to cleaning. So I did the cleaning then about a month after the girl on the reception got sick and she was off for a while they put me on the reception. Then she came back and told them she can't do reception anymore. They put an ad on the internet for the reception position. I am going back to cleaning in a couple of weeks. The worst part is how I found out they had an ad out I was looking on the internet and saw the ad. No one told me.Yes my boss knows I want the job but he doesn't care he wants me back in cleaning. What should I do? Please help!

Where/Who do I contact to make a complaint about my employer not hiring African America people.

I am white and my employer does not/will not hire any other ethnicity. It's to the point that when a black person fills out an application, they (the owners) purposely mark the corner of the application to indicate that the person filling it out was black. They never call them for jobs, and when a opening comes up and they review the applications.......the ones with the "mark" in the corner are thrown away.

Any suggestions?

I know that to become a good lawyer you need to be able to have the ability to communicate well. I can communicate with people, but I wouldn't necessarily say that I am too good at it. Is there a way I can get better at this?

Also, my dream is to go to Stanford. I know it's kind of too much to hope for, but I have straight A's in school and I think I might have a chance.

I would really appreciate any advice that anyone could offer to me; I know I am a little too young but I think it is good to get a head start on things.

I have been with the current company for nine years now and am about to turn in my two week notice. Am I going to be responsible for training my replacement in areas in which I have never been trained? Over the years I have taught myself everything I know and I don't see why I should pass that on to the new person since my employer never compensated me for extra time and effort I put into learning new things (web design, graphic design, web hosting etc.) I feel that I should only have to train in areas that I was initially trained in by current office manager. What are your thoughts on that and .... what am I ethically obligated to do?
