If it is passed by City Hall here in Toronto, I've heard that Cat owners are now going to have to have a license to own a cat. I find that odd. Is it like that anywhere else? Let men know.

It is very common. Many towns around here also prohibit letting a cat roam outside. Most towns around here prohibit dogs from roaming outside. Those towns usually have laws that allow people to shoot or otherwise kill any animal that is outside the owner's property.

If you are a responsible cat owner it is not strange..if you are not responsible, you will not like it.....and it is done all over the world in different areas.

There is a leash laws for cats in Hampton, VA and in Paris, France.
