I have found many ways that people act and/or have certain expectations from the person that they are interviewing for a particular position even to the point of people asking about my car when I drove-up. One of my close Supervisors (co-workers) that was giving me a reference even had a complaint about the lady person that interviewed me; he replied that she was a very negative person and she had even said somethings that didn't even happen during the interview (he knew because we spoke) and he felt so tempted to bust her out but felt it would hurt me. He then sent me an e-mail and told me that maybe this particular position might not be right for me unless I planned to work for some very negative people. He was so right. But, how many people discover their mistake of getting into bed with the wrong job until six months down the road? It is a sad situation; especially when you need the money and the competition is so high amongst high skill high paying positions.

I change minds very easily on what's best for me because i practically like everything but what I most like in life are animals and music/singing. I think im also interested in managin businesses. I wouldnt pick a career in music/singing because it's more of a hobby than something that would actually give me a good income. I dunno if i should be a Vet because even though i love animals and know what it takes to be one, it sounds very difficult to be one. I dont know much about the roots of business and would like to compare both these careers can you people help?thnx

I've keep changing my mind on what I want to do. I majored in fashion design which I'm passionate about, but I don't really know how to own my own line unless I have lots of $. So I have to choose something else 4 the time being.

I'm not into math or science, but I love art an design. I hate to sew, love reading, and am a good writer. I'm interested in fashion, makeup, interior design, magazines, tatoos, and spirituality. I like achieving goals, staying busy, organizing, being creative, creating my own schedule and looking fabulous. Please through some suggestions at me. No sarcastic responses please.

hey all for reading this, the other day at a restaurant where i worked, one of the support managers was really hacking me off all day. I have had the flu/really bad cold for a few days and was really down. towards the end of my shift she was getting bossy about what things needed doing in the kitchen. This was the last straw, i said " have you got no common sense" because she came into the kitchen and stopped another team member sweeping the floor (which really needed doing) and do something else.

Anyway, i was stuck on wash up cause there was loads of it, and before i had to go, i had to make sure the floor was swept and mopped. so my mate was helping me get it done.

i went upstairs to the other support manager to tell him what she was doing, and he cudnt belive it either. she followed me upstairs and began to raise her voice. i left her, carried on with my work, in which she followed me down stairs and continued to shout. i asked her 3 times to stop, then i lost my temper and...

Last week on shift she slagged another colleague off to a high degree. I didn't want 2 tell my colleague but she asked me if this woman had said anything about her. I told her no, but she insisted something had been said. I told her I didnt want 2 tell her & that I was going 2 speak 2 management. She said she has a right 2 know wot had been said about her. In the end I told her and she was fuming. I told management in my supervision and now this colleague has brought 2 management that she knows that this woman had slagged her off. Management said I shouldnt have told her what had been said and that they want to find out of me why I told her. I don't think one of the managers likes me which worries me about consequences. I have only been in this job 5 months.
What will happen to me? Will I be disciplined? Sacked? Moved to another department? Or just a verbal warning? Any advice welcome as I'm worried about my job cos I really enjoy it. Thanks

I recently moved and it took almost 2 months to find a job. Finally, I was offered a position which I took because of desperation. It doesn't pay well considering the cost of living here. Now, I want to move back to my hometown where I can make more money. I don't want to quit the job until I have another one in my hometown. First, since I've only been at the job 3 weeks, should I list the job on applications and/or my resume? Second, should I still give a standard notice to my current job?

Well I found out a week ago from another co-worker that the lady that I work with directly is leaving. This was a verifiable source.

Well after she found out that she got the new job she used up all of her sick leave and came back on friday. She has still yet to tell the bosses or me, because she doesn't have a confirmed start date. Its a government job.

To make a long story short she had a real attitude problem friday when I got sent on the training that she was supposed to go on, when she was "sick".

My question is, how should I handle this situation? I want to move into her position when she leaves (she makes around 70K). Should I be nice to her, even though she is being a b***h. Should I let the bosses know what I have found out? Should I just pretend I never heard the information and go on with life? Should I confront her and let her know that I know what is going on?

Thanks...I know its a long one.
