I worked as a part time shop assistant throughout my A-levels and my degree. I ended up becoming a full-time Store Manager to fund my PhD.

Many of my team members are students, but those who aren't very academic are extremely capable in a practical sense. Yet people frequently assume that anyone who workd in retail is a moron!! Why is this ridiculous prejudice still so common?

and I heard that nurses don't have lives because they must always be on call for work. Is this true? Can nurses make their own hours? And is it easy to find a job as a nurse right now or is the medical industry packed tight?

have also done work in post office and warehouse work..pharmacy tech...clerk in retail...good at math..I did not think that nursing would be a profession where there was age discrimination, esp. not at 50s but am finding maybe that is one reason why there is nursing shortage..they don't want to hire or keep older nurses... d/t higher medical insurance premium costs for older workers (can hire 3 younger ones for cost of 1 older one).

I have resigned a month ago because of the unfair way of management by my former employer. However, I feel that my point was not clearly made and that the head office will only look at me as the person who bailed out. Is it too late to send them a report?

I deliver pizzas for a living, and what the supervisor (the supervisor of my manager) wants to do this experiment. He wants to have a ton of drivers in the store so when a driver comes back from a delivery he or she would have to wait his or her turn, which would mean less $ per driver. He wants to do this so he would not have to hire anyone who wants to work inside only. The drivers would have to do the inside work when they are waiting.
