I am not rich but I have easily enough to live well on and with money over each month. I have been very poor in my life and have had times where I had to scrimp and save and eat cheap stuff. I am overjoyed with my wealth now and although the roof leaks a bit I can afford to buy a bucket to catch the drops. I am very happy

I would say, Most people seem to believe that having access to lots of money will solve all their problems and miraculously make them happy. research concluded that pre-occupation with money and material possessions left people feeling deprived. The report stated that "when people focus on money as their measure of success in life, they're never going to be satisfied." The key to wealth and happiness is to love your work. When you feel emotionally satisfied every area of your life will improve. Like "Mary" above, find that one occupation that will fulfill you. The money will follow as a consequence. It always does. This makes sense when you really think about it.!!!!!!!!!!

Having money takes away the worry of what happens when you don't have any money and it's nice to have nice things. But, it WON'T give you happiness. Depending on how much you have, it can cause heartache for you.
Happiness comes from having people who truly love you, and being satisfied with your place in life.

Yes it makes me happy. But in life, if money is the only thing you own, surely, it is nothing but a bore. what i'm not trying to say is that money MAY make us happy but it's not our everything.

I would like to take a quote anon:
"A person with £15 million, is no happier than someone with £12 million"

It will make anybody happy, but yet THERE ARE STILL THINGS THAT MONEY CANNOT BUY..

Happiness, love, health ,a caring family and feeling of satisfaction .... are the best gifts anybody can get !!!

Enough to make me comfortable is nice, however I've always said that money isn't everything. Even when I'm skint I still say it, I agree it opens doors but there is more to life.
