I change minds very easily on what's best for me because i practically like everything but what I most like in life are animals and music/singing. I think im also interested in managin businesses. I wouldnt pick a career in music/singing because it's more of a hobby than something that would actually give me a good income. I dunno if i should be a Vet because even though i love animals and know what it takes to be one, it sounds very difficult to be one. I dont know much about the roots of business and would like to compare both these careers can you people help?thnx

I hear vet school is really hard to get into.

If I were you I'd make a list of advantages and disadvantages.

But in the end its all up to you on whether which one you think you'll enjoy doing.

You are unsure about what your really want to do. Well here's the thing....... most people don't. They start on one career track and as opportunities arise and life changes they find themselves in an entirely different field.

For example. My wife has only a two year degree in fashion design and now is making almost $200,000 dollars a year working for a govenment consultant. She says she realized she was horrible at the fashion stuff but got the business part.

I got a degree in Finance and ended up in a serious combat arm of the military but can now work for most any company. If you had asked me (then a geek) that I would end up doing serious work like I do I would have said that you were crazy.

My sister in law is a vet. In this day in age it requires serious science, almost at the human level for treatment. Super expensive and in the end not a whole lot of money.

My point is that regardless while you are trying to figure things out business, managing and the ability to organize is key in ANY business. Be it later you decide to be a vet, get involved in the music business...... whatever. A business degree will give you entry into anything.

If you don't feel a particular draw to business, I would go with the veterinary school. That way, you could get to work with animals, and eventually run your own business.

Going into business directly might be less rewarding than you think, unless you get an MBA or other advanced degree, you will be starting at a fairly low level, and you will be working on fairly mundane tasks.

If you are sure you enjoy animals, I would go with that. You could get into business and decide you hate it, at least with veterinary school, you could be certain of going into something you like.
