Certainly it does not make any guarantee. You must have talents others lack to be better off. College gives you a boost in salary because the number of people with a college degree is smaller than without, but that does not promise anything.

No but they show:

Determination, dedication, the ability to follow through and complete complex tasks and lastly knowledge of the subject.
