So you finally get a lead. They are looking for a home and they have called you. How do keep them and make sure they do not leave and go work with someone else. What could you possibly offer over the competition. As you all know, being a realtor is SOOOO competitive!

IMO I think that employers could put more value into productive workers and offer them more in the way of health insurance, 401k, and wellness. What about you?

I have a question about online schools or trade schools. As an employer would you hire someone who graduated from say Art Institute Online or University of Phoenix for example? Will you say what your profession or field is when you answer? I am considering attending such a school but I have heard many people say they are not held as highly as a local community college or university yet they cost a whole lot more. The art institute is approximately $78k for a Bachelors in some of their majors.

it is an unpaid position teaching Spanish business executives English not through formal learning but through constant interaction with an English speaker. I'm doing it for the experience and everything is paid for whilst I'm there [if I get the position] - transfers, ensuite hotel room and meals - The problem is that on the online application form is states "Please list group activity ideas and/ or individual conversation topics aimed at promoting
an understanding of English, (remember most of the Spanish participants are business executives"

So far I have come up with discussing the differing cultural traditions which executives might be faced with when travelling abroad.. but it's kind of stumped me as I know nothing about business.. any suggestions???

I've been working for a company (in the State of Florida) for just over a year now and have not received a raise. In fact, when I asked about a raise, I was told I would not receive one. Is a law being broken here? I thought that I was legally entitled to a 3 or 4 percent (minimum) raise. Am I wrong? Should I call a lawyer?

If you know anything about the laws and/or can answer my question, please provide a reference for me and/or a link. Thanks.

My husband recently passed his LVN he has applied at several places and NOTHING, he won't beg for a job (which I don't blame him) but one of the Dr's where he works recommened him to apply at one of the hospitals that the DR is part owner, so of course my husband applied immediately, the next day the Dr asked if my husband applied which he said yes the Dr gave him a thumbs up and said good. This has been 3 weeks, my husband will not go to the hospital or check on his application (he has applied several places, but he is a new grad) he has worked in the acute field for over 15 year. (I thought there was a nursing shortage) I do not understand. It has been over 3 weeks since he applied at the hospital. Would it be over the line if I called the hospital?? What do you all recommend.

I am curious if others feel I am being discriminated against. For the longest time I thought it was something else but now I am not sure.

I am a person who happens to be in a wheelchair, I have muscular dystrophy. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Public Administration graduated with a GPA of 3.388 worked for the Deparment of Defense in the summer of 2005 through a program for college students with disabilities. Was awarded the USMEPCOM coin of excellence, while working their exerpts from an essay I wrote were published in the MEPCOM magazine the messenger. I have many years of volunteer expirence with the MDA however since leaving the MEPS I have been unable to find a job. I send in my resume a place will call me I will come in for an interview and suddenly I am not qualified because I do not have enough expirience. If I tell the person over the phone I have a disability even before the interview they say well we just arnt sure you have the expirience. I need expirence to get a job

I am 23 yrs old, I have been out of school for 1 yr. After graduation I moved out of state and began working for a healthcare company. This job does not suit me, I am very personable, and enjoy teamwork and communicating with other employee's/clients/etc (not staring at a screen with headphones on 8hrs a day!) I will be moving back to my home state in June and have been job searching the past few months. I have a BS in Marketing.
I do love marketing/advertising and would probably enjoy a marketing manager position. I also have a passion for animals and working with children. I regret not becoming a teacher, but going back to school is not an option at this time.

Any idea's for career options I should pursue? I would love to get into child care but am aware of the typical salaries of a child care provider, do day cares have marketing departments? I would assume so, but have yet to find any job postings.

Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks in advance!
