it is an unpaid position teaching Spanish business executives English not through formal learning but through constant interaction with an English speaker. I'm doing it for the experience and everything is paid for whilst I'm there [if I get the position] - transfers, ensuite hotel room and meals - The problem is that on the online application form is states "Please list group activity ideas and/ or individual conversation topics aimed at promoting
an understanding of English, (remember most of the Spanish participants are business executives"

So far I have come up with discussing the differing cultural traditions which executives might be faced with when travelling abroad.. but it's kind of stumped me as I know nothing about business.. any suggestions???

I would acquaint them with familiar scenarios like in an Englsh pub/cafe, at a travel agents, airport, train station, pharmacy, doctor, you know like in the phrase books we use over here for travel abroad.
They won't be expecting anything too academic otherwise they would want fully qualified business teachers and advertise accordingly.
I hope it goes Ok and good luck.

Try something like this;

http://www.amazon.fr/Business-English-Conversation-Efl-Esl-Classroom/dp/158112712X/sr=1-9/qid=1170786863/ref=sr_1_9/402-0911364-4035341?ie=UTF8&s=english-books

There are lots of books on the market that give loads of good ideas.

Try searching for Business English conversation topics, you will find loads.

Good luck !
