I am 23 yrs old, I have been out of school for 1 yr. After graduation I moved out of state and began working for a healthcare company. This job does not suit me, I am very personable, and enjoy teamwork and communicating with other employee's/clients/etc (not staring at a screen with headphones on 8hrs a day!) I will be moving back to my home state in June and have been job searching the past few months. I have a BS in Marketing.
I do love marketing/advertising and would probably enjoy a marketing manager position. I also have a passion for animals and working with children. I regret not becoming a teacher, but going back to school is not an option at this time.

Any idea's for career options I should pursue? I would love to get into child care but am aware of the typical salaries of a child care provider, do day cares have marketing departments? I would assume so, but have yet to find any job postings.

Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks in advance!

Even though school is not an option, Make it one. There are online classes now that will allow you to "go back to school and earn that degree while you are working" Use your BS in Marketing for a job to keep you while you are working toward that goal of becomming a teacher!

Don't give up! When the tough get going the going gets tough! Perserverance will prevail! Seize the Day! Do what you love, take it from me I am 44 and did what I didn't want to do [in health care as well] and One day woke up and said I am starting a designing career. Now, I have 27 employees and can sit on Yahoo and answer questions and work at what I love to do!

Good luck to you and remember you are 23 you DO have your WHOLE life ahead of you even if it doesn't seem so! Follow your dreams, because your dreams will follow you...sometimes they haunt you if you are not careful!

Hi Jenn. I would be glad to give you a business idea! You would be your own boss, work your own hours, be communicating and helping others as often as you want, and have a great team to back you up. The company I enrolled with not too long ago offers all of the above and more...not to mention they are in great standing with the Better Business Bureau and have been featured on the show 60 minutes! If you are interested in more information, simply click my avatar image, which should take you to my YA profile. In my profile you should see a link that I have provided to the YA community, this is the companies' website. Review the website, and request an interview! Its that simple! Best of luck to you dear!
