Dear fellow friends,

Currently I am midway finishing my nursing studies. But I have doubts and I definitely love nursing but I am not ready to settle down for mundane routine kind of job in the wards. I am contemplating the A&E department.

But I am asking if there are any other directions I can go to with my Nursing Diploma?
What are my career choices?

In fact, I want to be a zoo keeper. I know it sounds crazy but I need something thrilling and exciting and full of life. I am confused.

Please help me out, flood me with choices. It is time to be ambitious and I want to be ambitious. Please help me fellow friends.

Flood with me with choices, even nonsensical ones ( like being zoo keeper)

Sincerely,
Ju

I know a guy who had a tough time at school his whole educational career. He wasn't a special ed student per se, but he was always near the bottom of his class. He failed a grade in elementary school and wound up quitting high school half-way through his Sophomore year at the age of 17. A few years later he completed a GED but right now he's cleaning toilets. He tells me he's thinking of picking up a few classes at night learning auto mechanics. I wish him the best, but I'm also hoping he isn't getting in over his head. I know that today's cars are a lot more technically sophisticated than they were 10 years ago. To work on cars today I believe you need a lot more training and intelligence than what the average "grease monkee" did ten, twenty years ago.

Can a guy who's not terribly bright still make it in the car mechanics trade? Or what about him possibly looking for a job in a mechanical specialty shop like a place that specializes in just mufflers, oil changes, or tires?

I have the experience necessary for interviews I have gone too and am well qualified but I must be saying something wrong on interviews. When asked about one of my previous jobs I was fired from I answer truthfully and I feel like that is what is holding me back from being hired. The situation was, and I explain this to the interviewer that I had a family emergency and notified my supervisor I would be late and then told me that was fine but fired me 2 hours before the work day was over. I always felt like honesty was the best policy but I'm starting to feel like it isn't....Also can someone tell me what that company can tell a prospective employer about me? Can they tell them I had an attendance issue? If so isn't that cause for a suit for slander? Someone PLEASE HELP!

I'm attractive and although 32, I have no children and look more like 25 and I'm not flattering myself! I'm no Giselle but I am in good shape. I used to do it in my 20's and made great money. I still think I could make decent money, much better than any other job I could get. I had a lot of fun and only worked at "hands off" and places where there were tons of rules and you could only take your top off. I would like to do it for another couple of years, then I know I'd be getting too old for it. While I'm dancing, I could finish college. Since I have no children, that is not an issue. I don't feel like I'm demeaning myself. I feel that it is no different than dancing in skimpy little clothes at clubs like tons of women do or parading around the beach in teeny little bikinis! People are entitled to their own opinions but please keep in mind that you really can't judge someone until they're in your shoes. I have one concern, I did have a drug problem (cont'd)

I work the 2-10pm shift and I am relieved at 10pm by a black lady. I am white. I've been on this new job for about a month. She has never been on time to relieve me. There is this 8 minute rule that goes like this..if someone is late but gets there at 10:07 you don't get overtime until it hits the 8 and the person still gets their 7 minutes. After the 8 minutes past 00, 15, 30, 45 you get .25 for every increment. Anyhow she rolls in 5, 6, 7 minutes late everynight. She gave me attitude one night when I wrote down I left at 10:08. Her supervisor relieved me Thursday night an hour late and I told him that I not only work fulltime, I'm a fulltime student and would appreciate if his staff would relieve me on time. Black lady was 5 minutes early tonight. I signed out at 9:55. She had the nerve to say, "Where are you going"? I told her I signed out at 9:55 and walked out before giving her a chance to say something. Is this racism or just jerky?

When applying for a job, the application always has space for you to write out past jobs, titles, duties, etc. Do employers care if you write "see resume" in the these blanks instead of writing everything that is already stated on your resume? Will it affect my chances of getting the job or make me look less professional??
