I'm attractive and although 32, I have no children and look more like 25 and I'm not flattering myself! I'm no Giselle but I am in good shape. I used to do it in my 20's and made great money. I still think I could make decent money, much better than any other job I could get. I had a lot of fun and only worked at "hands off" and places where there were tons of rules and you could only take your top off. I would like to do it for another couple of years, then I know I'd be getting too old for it. While I'm dancing, I could finish college. Since I have no children, that is not an issue. I don't feel like I'm demeaning myself. I feel that it is no different than dancing in skimpy little clothes at clubs like tons of women do or parading around the beach in teeny little bikinis! People are entitled to their own opinions but please keep in mind that you really can't judge someone until they're in your shoes. I have one concern, I did have a drug problem (cont'd)

and no matter how nice the club is, there will always be other girls or clients trying to get you to use with them. I think I can avoid the temptation but my friends say it is best to stay out of the environment altogether! I am desperate for a job that I enjoy and make good money, what else could I do?????

Yes, you are right, most girls do "snort" up their earnings but there are some that honestly use the money to help pay for school. I looked into scholarships but I don't qualify for anything! Yes, I think guys are stupid for going to strip clubs just like some guys think I'm stupid for letting guys pay me to show my breasts! For little miss perfect that says to "grow up", how come it was okay in my 20's and not in my 30's? I can't have kids and don't want them anyways. I don't really care to get married. Like I said, I am in a lot better shape than tons of girls that are in their late teens and 20's! The girls with the bad bodies are the ones that are degrading themselves! Yes, there is a point when you are too old. I think your late 30's is a good cut off provided you are in tip-top condition and don't have children and take care of yourself. Look at Demi Moore, she's in her 40's and looks hot in a bikini! It's 'cause she takes care of her body.

I am sorry to say some people still look down upon an exotic dancer. They have very little respect. Do what makes you happy. If you want to dance, then dance. But honey money isn't everything. You can't take it with you when you die, and you can't cuddle up with it at night. The drug problem will be a concern for you always, whether you are a dancer or not. If I was you, I would do some serious thinking and decide if you really want to be a dancer or not. It's a tough decision. Money, drugs, respect, or your life. You decide.
After reading your post, it looks like you have your mind already made up. You are going to become an exotic dancer again aren't you.? So why are you talking to us about it? We can give you advice on what you should do until we are blue in the face, you are not going to listen. Then go be an exotic dancer. Happy dancing.

You're 32 y/o and it's time for you to grow up. What you were doing in your 20's is not acceptable in your 30's. Do you want to look back on life and see yourself in the same position you were when you were in your 20's? It's time to make a change. If you want to go to school then go. There's plenty of scholarships and grants out there to get you started and if you keep good grades you can apply for many more scholarships to help pay for your education. What do you want to do as a future career? I would get as far away from stripping if you would like your future employer to take you seriously when you're listing your work history, etc.

*Personally* I hate strip clubs for several good reasons:

Why in the world would I spend money to be teased?
Most of the guys I see in there are weirdos and losers.
Strippers are exceptionally biatchy (probably from freaks trying to cop feels from them all night.)
It seems to be a meeting place for scumbags.
The whole notion of "stripping to pay for college" is a load of crap - most of the strippers I have known snorted most of their earnings.

If you want to do that, it's none of my business, but it's far from an honorable profession, so don't get upset if nobody respects you.

Basically, it's your life.

Exotic dancing has changed a lot. You cant make even close to what you could even 4 years ago.
You cant make a career out of it but if you just want to put yourself through college...
As long as you have something else going on in your life.

If you don't want an honest answer than why are you posting your question here?
Sorry but you are degrading yourself by dancing topless. You are selling yourself and setting yourself up to get back into your drug use.
There has to be some other job you can get.

I think it must be a hard job.
How can you do what you do with all those guys looking at you and to think you do it over and over again day by day.
It must suck and what do you do when you feel burt out and don't want to be doing it? I just think it must take a special kind of person to wake up and go do that.
Student loans could be your new friend.
