I have the boss from he**. She is moody, mean and just plain ugly! The crap finally hit the fan when she basically insulted me on the phone and laughed as she hung up. When I talked to her about it, she said "you know this really is not working out for me" I said I felt the same. We have a meeting with HR on Friday at 4pm, ugh, sounds like firing time. I have been with the company almost 5 years with no discipline problem. I have worked for this chick one year only.

Okay there is this chick that i work with

I'm in my late 20's and she is like 47 or 49 something like that,

She like takes this job super serious and acts like nobody can do it like she can which is a laugh.
I've tried to be nice to her but she doesn't seem to get it, Words like hi, How are you, don't seem to comprehend well with her and when i try to have a conversation with her she either gives a one word answer or "well that's a dumb question" Or something of that nature. She obviousely doesn't care about being nice, THere are people there that like her including the boss and there are also people that don't like her as well
I don't ahve tocommunicate much with her but i just try to with everybody and just about everybody else seems to be cool.
Do you think i ought to just ignore her and not say anything to her, or do you think i ought to continue trying??

My husband was offered a caretaking position this morning. This job involves staying in this persons home for a month or two while he is away. Everything is paid for meaning electric cable heat the only thing he asks is that we take good care of his cat? What do you charge someone for this? My husband thought maybe $50 bucks a week is that too much too little. To me it's not worth it I have a place to live and for an extra $50 bucks a week I dont know if I want to do it.

Or both? I'm a fairly new licensed agent. Should I pursue a career as a real estate agen or should I pursue a career as a loan officer. What are the pro's and con's of each.

I live in Michigan and I'm interviewing for a job in Arizona. I'm wondering which one of these situations would sound better to the interviewer:

1. I'm relocating and was interested in a position with the company when I arrive.
2. I'm relocating strictly based on whether I get the position with the company or not.

The second statement is true, but I think it puts me at a slight dis-advantage against applicants with closer proximity.

or do I just leave at the normal time and arrive late and not get docked for any pay? Or does it vary depending on where your work?

My friend who is a single mum has been working at her current job since October. She works 16hours a week and tax credits top up her income. her boss told her today he's cutting her hours to 12 a week and it may be less than that soon. The tax credit people were no help on the phone but she really doesn't want to go on income support. I have been looking on the net all night for jobs in Nuneaton, Warwickshire for her as she has no internet access but i've come up with nothing. Any ideas on how I can help her?
U.K. answers please. xx

In my last job I was harassed by colleagues who had spread lies about my sexuality. I took the matter to HR but they only disciplined them for e-mail abuse and it didn't go further (they had half-heartedly offered me to launch a harassment case). I think it should be resolved, do I have any legal rights although it's been months since I left.

For the last 4 months, I have submitted endless resumes to the online databases such as monster.com, careerbuilder.com, and HotJob.com. Also, applied online to large to mid size companies in the Baltimore, MD area from commerical to government jobs.

My qualifications:
BS in Information Systems Management
5 years as a database analyst
2 years as a senior recruiter

As a senior recruiter, it's more of a sales job. I want more career growth and responsibility at this point. What else do I need to do to transition from recruiter to generalist? Thinking about going back to school to get a MS in Human Resource or a MBA with specialization in Human Resource. Also, which degree would be better and any recommendation for colleges/universities. If I was to do the MBA, I would go with Loyola College. For the MS in Human Resource, I would go with Towson University but their job placement center is not resourceful or able to deliver results. Need feedback. Thanks.
