I have seen several job listings for travel agent positions which all require experience with this program.

They have travel schools, Sabre is pretty difficult to pick up however, I worked for American Airlines, who's company invented Sabre, and the training was about two months, and you still don't really get a good grasp of it for about 7 months or so...email me and I can send you some notes on it or some references.

I went to a travel school. The Sabre training lasted 4 weeks but I finished in about 2 and a half. I feel like it was a waste of money because my first travel job gave training and I learned it all over again. I still have my student loan to pay off, but I don't work in the travel industry any more. Go talk to some travel agents ask about the job, and make sure that you want to do it. Then try to find an entry level travel job so that you can learn SABRE.

Talk to someone who works there and ask them to print you out an instruction sheet. The BASIC list of commands is pretty short, but it will take you years to get good at it.

I used to know a few myself -- and they are pretty impossible to understand.
