I work with a friend who is vastly underpaid. I want to let our boss know about some nice things she did for me lately without making myself look incompetent. She taught me how to use a certain database, she reminded me to update our website and a few other things. I don't want to sound sappy or ridicuous. Any suggestions?

I work in a Tractor salvage yard as a parts rep. Most of the people are upset before they come to me because some sort of their machinery broke. They will end up spending money to fix it, and nobody wants to do that. I've been to a customer service seminar, to tell you the truth, the gentleman speaking didn't really answer my question. Anyone have simmilar problems?

I'm a stay-at-home-mom looking for some type of work while i'm at home. I want to stay with my children and thought it would be nice to work while i was here. I have looked for things online, but there's always an upfront fee to pay. I was wondering if anyone knew of an online job i can do from home, without having to pay any money upfront?

I was wondering if someone could recommend some carrers that might interest me: I don't want to spend any more than 1 year in school. And I mostly prefer working by myself, i'm not a big people person. I'm more of a loner... I've researched a lot and i'm so worried that I will never find anything for me. I often get bored with jobs and end up quiting just a few months into it... Any advice for me?? THANKS!!

My son is 17 years old and at college and gets £30 a week EMA money as long as He attends all sessions. I claim child benefit and child tax credits.
I am disabled on disability benefits, also receive income support. I like to keep on the right side of the law, hence this is why I am asking this question.
Out of the benefits for him, I provide for all his needs etc, clothing food, tools for college etc
He wants to take on a part time job to help with his car insurance and tax etc as it is going to cost him quite a bit. I feel terrible that I cannot pay for all his insurance etc as the insurance itself is at least £1,000.
What worries me is, if he takes a part time job will his child benefit and or tax credits be removed or reduced. If he can work part time while at college, are there any restrictions on hours and or pay that he can do / receive while he is a student attending college.
Also as I am on income support I worry it will affect my money as well.

I have been trying to find a part time job in the evenings for almost about a year. I have applied everywhere I can think of. Some places twice. I have made the necessary phone calls. I have a full time job during the day. I thought maybe it was my availability, but it seems weird that I wouldn't have something by now. I have had the same job for the past 6 1/2 years and just need something to supplement my income. I know that my present employer would give nothing but fantastic remarks about my work. I dont call off, i'm never late. I cant figure what the problem is. Is there anything that anyone could suggest. What am I doing wrong. I want to correct whatever it is that I am doing that is not getting me noticed.

Anyone got any advice about jobs working from home? I found alot of paid surveys and such on the web but most look too good to be true! Just wondering if anyone else has had any success from work at home jobs, and if so, what were the jobs? Thanks for any advice.

I emailed a coworker telling her that I was uncomfortable w/ some changes that she suggested I make on a proposal and that I was planning to meet w/ my project partner to discuss the new changes. When she replied, she cc'd my project partner and my boss, stating that she was in disagreement w/ me submitting those changes w/o her first reviewing them and that she disagreed w/ me holding this meeting. I was very insulted that she would suddenly cc these people when I didn't cc them on my initial email to her. And for her to say that she must first review the changes and that I shouldn't meet w/ partner until I spoke to her (like I'm some kind of child) was very insulting b/c it was like she was "correcting me" publicly.

I won't have to work w/ her in the future after next week. We work for the same company in dif't wings of the bldg., but she's good friends w/ my boss, so I'm wondering if there might be fall-out from our disagreement. Bottom line is I want revenge. What can I do?
