I work in a hotel and have done for the last 6 months, I have never been offered a contract to sign, I get paid monthly, if i want to quit how much notice do i have to give so that i wont lose my wages earned this month already?

If your in the Uk then your employer has to give you as contract,,
Your notice period...well if you give a weeks and leave then the company will only give you a weeks pay. Have a chat with your manager and HR dept, if your in the uk and still have queries after this try www.acas.co.uk

2 weeks notice is what I would recommend. The hotel can't keep the wages you have earned this month already anyway. The reason you give 2 weeks notice is so you can use them as a reference on future job applications.

You should give 2 weeks notice.. it is common practice and courtious...

but, if you just told them that you quit and would not be back in the next day.. they would still be required to pay you for your work.. but then they might not give you a good reference when you apply for a new job someplace else.
