I only have 2 PT jobs, and haven't had a decent job w/the hrs. I really need--as it feels like FOREVER now!! Tired of feeling guilty because my husband works so much all the time, and I keep applying for jobs all over the place. It used to be so easy to get work when the economy was a lot better, i mean in a certain way it must've been obviously because there's only 1/5 the ads in the local paper now and for a long time now for work.
anyway, I applied for this job, and was interviewed Tuesday :o) the interview went well and already work pt w/this merchandising co. but there were other interviews......
Please PRAY I hear the GOOD news and I GET it!
Thank u, :o)

My former boss told me not to contact her anymore because I quit- Good reasons as I had a baby and told her i couldnt work any over time unless given an advance notice- but wouldnt mind helping out if it was necessary.

3 days in a row the person that was supposed to relieve me never did so I would end up working 7 am until 9 pm when the person relieving me decided to show up.

Anyway I called to ask her and she told me not to contact her because she is upset with the way i left. Dont I need to know if i have to pick up my W-2 or is it being mailed. My husband is 1099 so we just want to get this taken care of and file and pay what we will owe.

30: are u under or over? (no lying about ur age!)

FLIRTY: married, or single?
if married: did u find the one?
if single: are u semi, all-out, or a shy flirter? how many people do u flirt w/ on average?

THRIVING: employed, or un-employed?

She was told they were trying to make her quit by lowering her hours, and giving her a hard time. She became furious, quit on the spot, and spoke obscene language to her general manager and the owner of the company. She is not allowed to go into any branch of this business again--and told they would call the police if she tried to set foot inside. She feels terrible, and is still a minor.

I plan on moving from Chicago area to the Atlanta area this summer, but I would like to have a job secured before making that move. What is the best way to go about this since I'm not currently residing in the area? How do I address this in my cover letter? Are companies willing to do phone interviews? I will have a time frame to visit for interviews. Plus when should I start looking if I don't plan on living there until July or Aug? Any information will be helpful.

Im working as a special ed. parapro I am one on one with a little girl who is severly hanicapped. I NOW work with her for 7 hours a day. I only get a half an hour lunch. I began working with her bymyslef then they brought in someone to help me, in the middle of the school year they moved this person to work strictly elemntary, and they hired a girl that they didnt know was pregnant, she called in the week she had to start working saying that the doctor ordered bedrest. So now im stuck with her by myslef. I bene having all kinds of mixed feelings about the whole situation. I am angry, upset, and basically really emotional. I dont get breaks just my half an hour of lunch. My personal life isnt all that great either, I'm 19 a sinlge mom and Im attending college in the afternoon. So i hardly see my child. What should I do about my situation at work. Im embarrassed to let my supervisor know how I feel because I been holding in my emotions for a long time.

I would like to know if there is anything that I can do to ensure that I will receive unemployment benefits. This is a pretty shady company so I would like to cover all ends. Also, if anybody has a format for a lay off letter of some sort that would help also.

I emailed my resume to a comp and with in 15 minutes they asked me to come in for an interview. Here is the rub-I think it would be a fun job (much better than what I have now) but I really want and need to work part time (24-30 hours a week) to allow time with my family. I have looked closer to home for work, but my degree and field puts me communting an hour each way. If they make an offer, is it wrong to counter with "yes, but I would like to be part time"?
