I think that is normal. Of course most people are nervous starting a new job. But, if you hate the old one...move on and don't look back. The first day might be hard, but then it will get better. Best wishes.

It is normal to be nervous about a new transition in your life. Decide if this new job is really for you so that you don't make any rash decisions. Does it pay well? Will you be in a good working environment? Will you grow and learn there? Make a list of things that are important to you and see how well this fits you. You don't want to jump into a job just because you hate your current one.
At the same time, you may just be feeling nervous about starting something new. This is very normal. If this job is right for you, take it! And embrace a new start. It may be scary at first, but if they hired you they obviously see your potential. Good luck.

Most people feel nervous when they are offered a new job. I went from working at a food court, to a shoe store, to a bank. I'm very glad that I made the transitions though. I am more experienced with work, and knew that I was capable of working in a new environment. If it's a job that is similar to your old one you should be fine, and if it's a job that is completely different you need to ask yourself if you're able to adjust and learn. If you hate your current job, how much worse can it be at the new one?

It's normal to be nervous about leaving a job even if you don't really like it there. Esspecially if you've been there a long time, it's something that's known versus the unknown of the new job.
Personally, I got over it by putting 100% into my new job. Didn't have time to think about the old job!

If you really want the new job, GO. The worst thing you can do once you have be offered a job that you went after, because the company you work for is not that good, is stay where you are.
The lack of respect that you use to get is only the tip of the iceberg, GET OUT while you can.

it is normal, change can be threatening. not sure of your personal situation (eg single, married, old, young?) but assuming that there isn't much risk there for you, try to take positive attitude. One way to do things is to write down advantages and disadvantages of taking new job on one piece of paper or compare old versus new job, something like that, with line down the middle separating the two categories. Then stare at it and presumably you'll see that it is better to work at the new place
takes the emotions out of it, and once you've made an actual decision and committed you'll feel a lot better

That's normal and completely understandable. You know you want it, imagine how you will feel in a few weeks time stuck in that rubbish job still if you turn it down. Now, you wouldn't have applied for the job, or been sucessful if you and the company weren't sure you could do it so go for it.

AHHH you got the jitters........of course it is normal, transition can be hard for anyone. You have to swallow it and go for whats best. Any job where the employees are being mistreated is not worth having. Get out while you can. You will be fine. Do you remember you first day at Kindergarten?

If you were completely honest in the application and interview stages of this job inquiry, you have nothing to be apprehensive about. The employer wants the best applicant for the position and they seen that in you and offered it to you.
They believe in you and they are the ones making the risk - now take a deep breath and go for it!
