i was thinking about what i want to do in the future. I came to the conclusion that this is something i would love to do. I would like to know about what i should major in if i wanted to do this as a career. what would be the best colleges (preferably in the east coast) to attend. what classes should i take my senior year in high school to help with my future plans and stuff.

are there any wedding planners out there that could answer this? or anyone. thanks!

I'm a recent graduate of undergrad, and my major is non-math related. But I am interested in taking actuary exams. Which math level at the minimum do I have to be familiar with? Such as statistics or calculus?

I have so many idea's on how to improve things and or inventing new things. I have ideas for new types of appliances, new types of stores, But I have no idea what type of courses I should take to learn what I need to know. I know I would need a business course of some sort. Mabye an enterpaneur course. Do I need to take a course on every idea? Example one idea is a new type of microwave. Should I take a course that helps me understand how they work and how to build one? Someone said I should just patin my ideas I have and then sell them...???? What do they mean? Another idea I had was a type of drive-thru store. Where do I go from here? Any thoughts would be appreciated. I am 23 and haven't even graduated high school I know I would have to go somewhere and get some sort of english grammer course cause I defenitly need work on that before College. I have so many plans for my life but in need of some direction.

I will be graduating soon, with a Math major. I don't know what I want with my life, I just want a decent paying job. I don't particularly care in what industry. What should I say to the employer during an interview, without seeming unfocused?

I am about to change jobs. But the new job that I'm taking pays more and the new job is like a step down from my old job. I wasn't going to take the job because of the slight demotion, but I was told sometimes you have to take a step down to step up. How true is this? Looking for a story or scenario similiar to mines. Something that I can go by. Just need some motivation before I make this step. Just to give a little more insight, my current jobs have no growing opportunites. Let me know and thanks for your help.

Those People that you see on those commercials are actors portraying people who used the service and made so much money monthly, that it sounds to good to be true. Does anyone out there ever used that website and made any money on it?

I have carpal tunnel; I got a job with a state govt. agency. I had very specific job task descriptions, none of which would necessitate accommodations for or mention of my carpal tunnel syndrome (I can type 75 wpm for hours with no problem, for example). A few months later, I was told to do some straight computer data entry task--a task never mentioned in my job duties or description. (I have a Ph.D. and think straight data entry is a waste of my abilities--but that's another story). I told the manager that I would try my best, but that I had carpal tunnel & I didn't know how much I could do. I was told I HAD to do all that was assigned to me for this particular project. I complained to the HR office, and mentioned my carpal tunnel for the first time, because I was suddenly given a task that could be impacted by it. We had a meeting; I was given a 'stern lecture' that I should have mentioned my condition anyway when I was hired. Was I irresponsible or just using my discretion?

My Superego is telling me to be a good boy, swallow some pride and put in my two weeks notice. I will finish with grace, not burn a bridge make a little cash and move on.

My Id is tell me to bring a can of gasoline to work tomorrow, a book of matches, some hot dogs and hamburgers and have a good time with it. (not really, but I would just walk out) I wouldn't even say anything and I would change my phone numbers.

I imagine when I am 87 years old and lying on my death bed, I would have rathered made my point by getting the hell out instead of sugar coating my exit from the company.

What do you think?

I've been with my current employer for 2 and a half years now, although when I joined I handed my notice in after 6 months because it was really boring and it wasn't what I expected. Unfortunately, the new job was even worst, so I contacted my old employer and went back but this time getting a promotion.

It was a lot better, but last year I handed my notice in again as I found a better job elsewhere. My boss talked me out of it by offering a payrise, training, better hours etc. so I decided to stay on.

The other day I was contacted by another company and have been offered an excellent job, local to where I live that I couldn't turn down.

So... now I need to hand in my notice for a third time!! But this time, it's for definate! I just know they'll go mad, and I've got to work 4 weeks notice. It will be hell!!

What should I say when I tell them I'm leaving again?
