I am exploring the possibility of returning to school for a graduate degree, obtaining a MCSE certification, law school, art school, working a second job or starting a small side business, etc...

I am unsure of the value that going back to a formal school would have in my case. I am currently happily employed as a Sales Consultant in a seasonal business which is also tied into the traditional school year, meaning I am working when normal school is in session. I have the potential to make money at my current position. However I wish to improve my life financially and professionally, thus taking advantage of the free time I get during the slow times of year.

Any Suggestions?

My boyfriend currently rents his home from his boss. She's his late best friend's daughter, married to the president of a petroleum engineering company, & originally gave him a job to help him out when he lost his last job. B/c it's his late best friend's daughter, business & friendship were mixed together from the beginning. Which, in my opinion, is never good. After his lease expired for his apartment, she bought a house to rent out to him. She hates me though & has said I can never be over there or he will have to find a new place to live. Would it be legal if she fired him? If she did fire him b/c he was seeing me, what could he do about it? Also, lately she's been getting mad that he's still seeing me & she'll nag him about it. When she doesn't get the response she wants from him she'll turn it into an argumentabout the quality of his work & how she could find someone better to do his job. If he wanted to move out of her house & she got offended, would it be legal if she fired him?

Obviously, at some point in an interview, you should ask what kind of salary/hourly wage you will be making in this job. But when is the appropriate time to do so? Asking too early may make you seem greedy or overanxious, while asking too late might mean the person has already offered you the job and you then say "oh wait, how much am I going to get paid?".

Also, how do multiple interviews play into this? Some companies may have three or even four interviews with you before you are hired, which interveiw would you ask about salary?

I'm new to the mortgage and sales biz. I'm with a major lender company and I started as an Account Executive 2 wks ago and Tuesday I will start making calls. I need to know what I can do to be successful on this job, I mean, I need some really in depth advice. I'm not doing any cold-calling just warm-calling. I have potential to make alot of $$$ and I don't want to screw this up. Anyone w/ experience let me know what I can do to enhance my performance...Websites are good, too.

Okay, so this new girl that started a few months ago at another store comes to mine and barks orders at me. It is really getting to me because she only got a higher position than I because she slept with the boss at the other store. Not only that, but that man is MARRIED and I have NO RESPECT for her.

Now, I have been there a while, know my job, and don't apply for higher positions because I'm in school. I can't stand to have this obnoxious, bossy, offensive girl tell ME how to do MY job. She isn't my boss and can't fire me, so what I want to know is how I should act when she gets all bossy on me.

I try my hardest to be nice to everyone. I'm generous, kind, and I hate telling people that they're mean. What should I say? What shoud I do?
