I was speaking to this woman from work on the phone today, getting some information around a project I'm working on, and she said "Ooh I couldn't do your job, I bet it's dead tedious". Then she asked how long I'd been working for the company.
I didn't even know her, so it wasn't like a close colleague asking if you find your job boring. I just think it's really cheeky and like she's basically saying "I wouldn't have hung around doing your job for so long, haven't you got any drive ? . . ."
Thing is, I'm a business analyst and she's anoher project team member, I don't think she even knows what I do, so how come she's asking that question?
Am I right to be offended or do you think I'm reading too much into it?
