Hi there I am looking for evening job idea's. During the day I run/own a contracting company. I am looking to expand my horizons and have my employees run the day company. Something I could do at home. Or maybe not. I am not looking for a job. I am looking for a business opportunity.- I have to be my own boss.

I want to draw a check in my personality. In most of the interviews I think I answered the interviewer little childishly. My answer should be calm and composed.

I currently work in a gas station, I can't stand the job and I'm working every single day that I don't go to college. It's making it hard to keep up on school work. Is there ANYTHING I can do from home that I can make the money needed to commute back and forth to school twice a week and pay what few bills I have? This is getting ridiculous. I barely have any time for homework much less a social life.

I have been invited by my senior lady boss to accompany her on her business trip which she plans to make next month.

The boss in her late 50's is a real volcano, when it comes to office work. God save the person who makes even a minor mistake in the task she orders to be carried out.
She has been nicknamed as 'Madame Hitler' by my office collegues.

I dread to think of spending time with her in a unknown place even if its only a business trip.

She has already instructed me to pack my bags with my clothes for a month.

Her business trip's normaly used to end in a week's time in the past. This time her ordering me to pack my lugguage for a whole months stay is a bit unnerving.

I am sure friends get the point I am worried about.

Since Its my new first job with a good pay. Displeasing her could hamper my promotion. Yet I want to avoid going out.
I am on a look out for good excuse to avoid this trip without displeasing her.

I just recently started my job working at a cafe. It's a fun job but it doesn't pay well and the hours are short. The people are great and I just got settled into it. But before I got this job, I was trying to get into Ralphs Company because I use to work for Food 4 Less (it's ralphs company). My uncle has a friend, who's an M.O. at a ralphs and she could get me a job easily. She just called and told me to come in the store and she can get me a job. I wanted that job because i'm use to everything in that company and i know the police, eventhough it's a bit hard work but they pay more and give more hours. What should i do? Stay with my job that's fun with no benefits, less hours and less pay or go to a job with more pay more hours but less fun and hard work?

Also I have a daughter that's two monoths and I need to support.

I have opportunities to work in Dallas, TX and NYC. I will make around 55K in both places. Which would be a better place to build my career? Which place is more fun (I am an Asian- a bit worried about racism in Dallas). Can I start in Dallas and then maybe later move to NYC or Chicago? I am currently in Austin, TX.

You come home late from work on a friday night exhausted, starving, then the wifes says you're late, your dinner is in the dog. I've spent hours in that kitchen preparing your favourite meal. You didn't tell me that you were doing overtime. Thank goodness there's a chippie nearby

In Amercan society, where people from all kinds of cultures and backgrounds work in a corporate structure, is it fair for the top leader of the location of business to make unilateral decisions about what is appropriate and what is inappropriate without giving an opportunity to the affected party a chance to discuss the details?

Of course it is understood that she/he is expected to act in the best interest of her/his team and the company she/he works for.
Shouldn't a non-american green card holder be given an opportunity to discuss and rebut the details before getting fired from his job?

We are an Engineering Team and this person just quite with almost no notice. Everyone else is happy to work in my team and enjoys my leadership. We recently hired a new member who is performing quite well and fits the group perfectly. Could the person who just quit be jealous of the new person? Does this have anything to do with my leadership skills?
