I work at a restaurant and I sometimes work 12 hours shifts. I get so tired and feel I need a break but my boss says I can't because it's too busy. Is it illegal for him to deny me break?

I'm a russian 2nd year University Higher School Of Economics student, majoring in human resource management. I'm looking for a job in the uk, preferably in cumbria or in northumberland (but not only) for 3-4 months in summer of 2007. i'm going to the uk as a working holidaymaker. I need a job to support my finances there, for example, to pay for accomodation. Where exactly would you recommend to search? any websites or newspapers or anything else?
i'm looking for any job. but preferably not to clean the rooms

Vacation days used were pre-authorized before the day of use. But employer states they had to let my friend go because he used too many vacation days.

i got an offer for working in Dubai, Accomodation provided by the employer. Salary USD 3800/ month.
