Are you eligible for unemployment benefits if you are fired from a job in California?

A friend of mine is at risk of being fired from a job and I would like to know if they are eligible to receive money from unemployment benefits in California. Thanks!

in California it is the law...if you get fired you can collect....it's only when you quit that you're out of luck........he just has to be actively looking for another job...... ;)

if fired yes they are by law there in california. that is law. ?

probably. just make sure they actually get fired and don't just quit.
