Thats why its always best to let the wife now you'll be late!
I know you were tired, but a bit of thought wouldn't go a miss!
Next you are doing overtime, phoned her at lunch time, let her know you'll be late and tell her to take it easy that afternoon and that you'll bring something back for her. You will be rewarded!

Yes but in my case its my hubby that has a moan. I have come to the conclusion that a phonecall telling him I will be late always helps. I then come home to a nice dinner and even a cuppa and a hello from him.

No but I once came home early to find the dog in my chair watching TV with my dinner around its mouth, my 3 year old in the drive scratching paint of the neighbours car (I'm glad about) and my wife in bed with MY father....

Yup, yesterday!
We work too hard, and we never get any credit for it.
And, for the record, we DID tell her that we were doing overtime but she was too busy down the health spa chatting to her mates and P*SSING ALL THE F*CKING MONEY AWAY TO REMEMBER A F*CKING WORD WE SAID!
The world's all wrong.

That's a shame but maybe if you reverse the situation you might understand why she's annoyed!
Why not make her a special dinner to make up for it and get back into her good books?

you need to take a leaf out of music wiritng legend paul mcartneys book and give her a good slap when she steps out of line. a few pints of snakebite should help if you're a first timer
