I heard that only a small percentage of people actually find jobs online. Is this true? If so, what are the best avenues to travel, when looking for a job post graduation?

Is there a place where you can get reviews of companys from a workers perspective? Like a job review board or blog? I would liek to research the company thoroughly before I accept an offer. I want to make sure this is the place I want to work. I would also LOVE to leave a review about my past place of employment.

This has been an ongoing debate here. Though it does state in our employee manual that the Employer has the "right" to open our mail, I believe it's intentions were to cover personal mail we may have sent to us at work (which no one here does, that I'm aware of). We will get thank you cards, Christmas and other holiday cards opened up, sometimes a week or more AFTER the postmark. They open our 1099's from one source of our income, and other sensitive material we may receive from some of our suppliers. I'm just curious - is this a common occurance in business, or something more isolated. Regardless, I would like to know if this is legal or not - whether they state in our manual it is their "right" to do so. If it isn't legal, what would be the best way to handle the situation?

If your work for one company, doing two jobs with separate pay scales but ultimately working a full 40 hours a week, doesn't that make you elegable for benefits? Does the employer have the right to deny you such benefits because each position is part-time?

I am a supervisor at a school and am having a problem with one of my paid student workers. I've generalized the below situation but would like some feedback on how to handle this:

You leave your office at 5:00 PM after instructing your head SA to complete preparations for a class which will start at 7:00 the same night. The same SA is responsible for proctoring the test for the class. The next day you receive numerous complaints from students concerning problems that occurred the night before. The SA failed to give students their ID cards, gave out the wrong schedules, and forgot to tell students when to stop and start working on different sections of the test. The SA’s excuse is that she had worked all day and just lost track of time. You notice that she spends a lot of time chatting with students and is online frequently.

1. What would you say to the SA about what happened during the class?
2. What suggestions would you offer to address the problem?

Things like coming in and not saying good morning, deleting e-mails and not telling me what their about, not saying good bye when going home. this includes my supervisor.
What do you think is the best solution for this problem.
Baring in mind i've never been in a senior postion before.
Even when we have temps in it feels like they turn them agaist me.
Most probably feeding pure lies to them
help me i'm aboout to explode with anger and believe me you wouldn't wanna see me when i'm angry.
I'm thinking this senior thing is not for me.
Positive feed back please.
